Discovery Vitality in 2016

Not true for me :(
On days I go to gym and reach my Fitbit step goal, I get 150 points for that, but none for gym.
Queried this with Discovery and they said only 1 activity per day will count (for both vitality points and vitality active rewards).

That sucks...

Oh....weird. Well if that's going to be the case going forward I won't be able to get more than 1000 points/week, max.

On 17 Oct I got 500 points for 5 km parkrun, plus 200 points for 12 500+ steps for the day, which steps included the parkrun! I don't feel bad about it, as I also walked in shopping malls with my wife and played 6 tennis sets that afternoon.

I usually only get bonus step + event points, never full for both and where there's 2 events you get the max one and 0 for others besides bonus.

Not sure how non-official timed events work these days but 30km road cycle was a poultry 150 points so I just stopped bothering logging that and mtb

First I don't think it is about cross-selling, or at least its not the full story.

I quickly read through some of the benefits of the Discovery card, and something I didn't know, is that you can buy istore items through discovery mall, and pay the item off over x amount of months, at 0% interest rate. Kinda like FNB's smart devices.

Now I assume, the iWach will work on the same principle, but if you hit your active reward targets, they also discount that monthly interest free payment for the iWatch.

Kinda cool, but I still don't like the fact that the Discovery card at the lowest monthly rate, is R35/month + some other fee at R7.50/month and that excludes joining the Discovery miles program.

But if you do happen to have a Discovery card already, I guess that is a small perk that makes it worth it.

My gym visit for Tuesday is still not reflected on the rewards app,I've sent a query to vitality,so if it's not reflected by the end of tomorrow then i won't have reached my goal, not fair

Points seem to be updating now - everyone in our office now has the correct amount for the activities that they've done since last Friday

Yeah it's back to normal - normal being crashes every time I open the app and often within the app, but at least the points are working.

That's correct gym visits are now showing points but it seems other device or app workouts are not syncing... as per usual. What I don't understand is if Discovery wants to implement a system like this surely they should build systems that actually work and test them?

Ah, ****it. Looks like you have to use the app to get your active reward. Since I have a windows phone, that isn't happening. The initial reward for just activation was on an sms though. :(

The app is only available for Ios and Android and doubt they will release a windows version any time soon or ever. Don't worry though you are not really missing out on much at all

Anyone else having issues with vitality points not being added for device or app workouts?
