dishwasher suggestions

Hi,

I am going to buy a dishwasher for the first time as we are fed up of household workers. So which ones do you recommend ?
I am just looking for a brand that provides good after sales service preferably onsite in cape town.
Also I am staying in a rented house so what sort of plumbing changes I will need to accommodate a dishwasher in my kitchen.

You just need a cold tap for the water, and a drain for the water & power plug of course. If you already have a tap for a wshinng machine, you can just buy a split thingy from a plumbing store. If you already have a drain for the washing machine you can also use that for the dishwasher.

the dishwasher is going to be near the kitchen sink. no power outlet right now but I dont mind running a extention lead. Challenge will be the water inlet and outlet. will dishwasher pump out the water from the outlet or is it gravity assisted ?

The dishwasher will pump the water out, so the outlet pipe can be higher than the dishwasher itself.
