Disney Plus Issues and Solutions

I have an Ematic and it says this country is not supported? Any ideas what I need to do to get Disney+ working on the ematics?

Edit: I have the same issue with the Amazon Fire stick 4k

South Africa uses the Indian version of Disney plus . It is a different app to the rest of the world as it uses mobile authentication and not email authentication. Firestick is probably set to the international store as there is no South African store and your Ematic box play store you probably set to an international store . Basically you need to download the SA/Indian version of Disney plus from the local store on your Ematic . Firestick doesn’t have a South African App Store so Disney plus won’t work .

Anyone noticed that Dolby Vision stopped working on the LG app? Don't know about other devices

Same here with my Sony. Was working fine and now just uses HDR10. Went mad going through TV settings thinking I had changed something.

I recently subscribed to D+ and observed that none of their original content is in Dolby Atmos. Am I the only one seeing this? On the US app, I get their original content in Dolby Atmos.
I'm not sure if someone else already answered this. I spoke to their support people and surround sound (up to Atmos) is only available on specific devices (not country specific). I also learnt that Samsung Smart TV is not one of them (at the time of writing this).

So I purchased the 3rd Gen 4k fire stick today, to my fault I did not research it well enough and to find out that the preconfigured Disney+ button takes you to the US Amazon store, which is unavailable for download. Naturally I searched the web to install a browser to stream Disney etc etc, which was an epic fail. Firefox is no longer supported on the firesticks and I get a random web player error when I try streaming through the silk browser…to get to the point I used the Alexa voice command button to stating “Disney plus” and to my surprise I was prompted to input my South African cell number and pin for authentication…now the app appears to be installed. The streaming quality is good, no buffering and the f1tv app works too so currently it’s an all in one device for me that works. Netflix, prime, Disney+ and F1TV

Are the Disney+ issues on the LG CX still unresolved? Namely, no Atmos and the 4K stream halting after 30 seconds or so?

I never had an issue with Samsung (or Android TV) with regards to freezing - I've actually watched a number of series without a hitch, barring an issue in the 1st week. However, I should be getting an Apple TV tomorrow as I understand it's the best experience

Not buying a device, specially for Disney,

Fix their shitty app, and I try subscribe again.

It's basically completely unusable for me now, when it first launched I watched everything without any issues but a couple of app updates and now I can't watch for 30 minutes without the app freezing completely on my Mi Box.

I didn't understand what everyone was on about freezing and buffering, mine worked perfectly, the app has a memory leak for sure.

Buffering and bad quality images. It used to be fine, until a few weeks ago, On my Apple TV, Computer, and phone. They must have really shitty servers here. It's almost unusable

I'm probably gonna jinx mine but it's been working fine albeit a bit sluggish on the interface. But the lack of 5.1 etc is an irritation.

Anyone been able to update the card details?
I keep getting "something went wrong" error when every i try and update my card details via the web.
Tried 3 different devices, 3 different cards but all the same error. Tried 2 different connections as well, home fibre and mobile, still no dice.

The mother buffering seems to be getting worse. Even connecting by cable on a 100 line doesn't help. Never had buffering until this weekend.

I can concur with mike12.
I used Alexa voice on the Firestick. Installed the app. Also got prompted for my SA cell no. Then received a pin for authentication. No problem with connection and creating profiles. I did however experience some buffering and had to downscale the video quality from 4K to HD. That seemed to work. Watched 3 movies and a few episodes of series without buffering since I changed.
