Nope, you are allowed to use fireworks for 5 hours in one day of the year, but that does not give you as a religious group the right to infringe on other peoples rights DURING that period.

You have given me an idea though, I will chat to my neighbour prior to Diwali next year, and request that should he wish to partake in similar fireworks as he did this year, I will require that he pays for the vet bill for the sedation of all animals within a 300m range of his property, he also needs to pay for any cleaning expenses incured on the night of his celebration from pets that have messed themselves in the house.

Do you understand that a display is a planned event and not just random family sized box of fireworks?

Rattling your window from a 3inch display shell ? dude your house is made from cardboard ?

Secondly how do you expect to have 'silent' displays ? that doesnt exist. You need to launch the display into the air and you need to launch it to a safe height. You not going to achieve that silently.

As always most rockets are very small now a days you dont get the HUGE rockets anymore. Another thing the bigger the rocket the higher up it flies so its not a very effective display.

hindus dont celebrate diwali the entire time its only one night the fireworks are really intense. Diwali is a long festival here its been curbed to a single day.
