Shame. The fireworks are within the boundaries of the law so is practice of diwali. You must deal with the acceptance of other cultures in society or else move. The republic has made that perfectly clear

There is moderation. You cant buy these loud bangs. Thundering kings, rectangle bombs, indian kings, storm breakers are all banned. What more do you want ? you cannot buy the very loud bangs anymore and you cannot have silent displays.

You wouldnt ask for a limit of lighting on christmas trees and housing saying its a waste of electricity would you ?

hindus dont celebrate diwali the entire time its only one night the fireworks are really intense. Diwali is a long festival here its been curbed to a single day.

Its actually complete tolerance, on both sides.
He wants to partake in something that will cause issue with other people, I would be giving him the option to do so in a tolerant fashion to the other people so that we can tolerate his wishes as well.

Are you suggesting the fireworks used were not off the shelf packs and were imported in just to piss you off?
They are also regulated by the size and amount of gun powder used.

When were you born yesterday , i live in Durban and i can show you at least 5 places in Clairwood alone that sells illegal fireworks ,
do you think last years unsold fireworks were flushed down the drain , wake up and smell the daisy's .
