Diwali Fireworks

We have a huge open field about 1.5Kms from my house, why cant people blow fireworks there, but no they blow it right in the damn suburb. The nearest house to that field is about 500M and its a complex with no dogs.


What also pisses me off about Diwali is the stupid whites take the opportunity to blow up fireworks.

Aha. So irresponsible usage means they're to blame. So this bullschit about them never being to blame is precisely that - bullschit. You clearly agree with this.

So we now go back to earlier in this thread. Your stance is completely hypocritical. It's only an issue when humans are hurt. Never animals.

End of story. If you struggle to comprehend this then have someone with a cursory understanding of English explain it to you.

its part of the point to celebrate from your own house. Religious reasons etc. Though it depends what fireworks you are talking about. If its crackers then there is no point.

uhm totally unnecessary dude. Fireworks are open to all on the days you allowed to use them. The point is you dont destroy cultural and racial cohesion by being an @s* about it

Nobody is talking about not respecting a persons religion. Big fek off fireworks have no basis in religion, and even if they did there are legal frameworks in which they are not allowed in residential areas. Therefore the only person doing the disrespecting is the person letting off the big fek off fireworks, and thus they need to deal with the consequences themselves.

yes like sticking your face in an active firework isnt very smart and you are to blame for that. Also not launching your fireworks from stable ground and maintaining a distance from a lit firework ... you know common sense

I dont equate human lives equal to that of animals that just dumb. However if you throw a firework and your dog grabs it and its mouth if blown off (like the picture posted earlier) then yes you are to blame for that as you are suppose to take care of your pet its YOUR PET.

however its not the responsibility of some random oke lighting fireworks somewhere in your neighborhood if everything is done properly.

Though people DONT do it properly on both sides and thats the problem. Over 20 years of diwali (and other events that have fireworks) I have never personally experienced an issue with animal or human. Why ? because I follow the rules

If I light a firework it malfunctions and hurts someone I will gladly accept the responsibilities. Its an accident it has no malicious intent and hence will be treated like an accident that I caused.
 
Ffs and now it's all about race and religion again. Forget the clear objections to fireworks on Guy Fawkes. Just play the race and religious tolerance card. Because fsck it, that's why... :rolleyes:

I agree that the race card is nonsense. The objection does destabilise cultural cohesion. So whats your solution ?
 
Within certain constraints. And those that people are complaining about fall outside of those constraints. Why must this be reiterated so bloody often?

What about my dog? A few years ago during Diwali my dog got so sh*t scared that it jumped in the pool motor (cage or cover thing) and got stabbed with a piece of fiberglass while we were sleeping, the next day we saw the infected wound and the vet had to put him down....

Abide by the law and stop detonating fireworks that involve noisy explosions. It's quite simple. Abide by the law and if you still object to the law or disagree with the interpretation, then have some consideration for others around you, and don't detonate noisy fireworks.

Is that too much to ask?

lol I learnt that sound thing from the discovery channel's survival programme (i also didnt claim it to be accurate). Im well aware its quite off, the point is to make life easy is estimation. Im sure you can do complex calculations in your head on the fly and take accurate measurements maybe you have a mass spectrometer built in your head.

I do not so yeah I still use that estimation and its works well

Ja ja, I agree with you. I hate fireworks but isn't it part of Hindu religion? I am sure the constitution grants some sort of rights in that regard?

I must add that I am neither religion or law savvy.

They do? diwali has been restricted to a single day. Its not illegal to use fireworks on diwali/guy fawkes/xmas or NYE

So stop acting like every single person goes to this specialised market funded by al qaeda and buy bombs just to piss you off
