No it's not part of the religion. Any fireworks that are set off would need to conform with the Explosives Act.

The flip side of this argument is that those who have noisy dogs would need to be considerate towards their neighbours too, as excessive barking is also in violation of certain by-laws.

nuisance fireworks is a term that refers to things like saturn missiles that go up in the sky making a screetching sound and have no display. It does not mean ALL fireworks.

Its not about the level of black powder ffs, its about the fact that it makes a noise that disturbs the ENTIRE neighbourhood. It is classed as a Nuisance Firework and is therefore banned in a residential area. Im pretty sure legal fireworks are catherine wheel's and roman candles but not ones that make a hell of a racket like rockets etc.
