So you agree then that no loud fireworks should be set off? In other words you're actually on the same side as us calling for everyone (irrespective of race or religion) to stop detonating them?

however people expect hindus to celebrate their most important event in their religion and culture in silence.

Im on no one's side. The fact is people will complain about noise of fireworks but you CANNOT eliminate the noise from aerial displays.

Pity those aerial displays are the ones that make an horrendous noise. You know, the ones that you've now admitted that you're against. So, either you're lying about actually taking issue with them and support their banning, or you have finally admitted that you have been wrong this entire thread.

No it's not part of the religion. Any fireworks that are set off would need to conform with the Explosives Act.

The flip side of this argument is that those who have noisy dogs would need to be considerate towards their neighbours too, as excessive barking is also in violation of certain by-laws.

FYI, among the dead animals were 4 sheep who were so traumatised they forced they way through a fence and landed on a National Road.
