Diwali Fireworks

Yeah but he tries to imply lots of things and fails. Also the way he wrote that post indicates to me that he has failed it 6 times because he doesn't really have a clue about the law.

This thread is going back and forth

DEFINITIONS

“Fireworks” - that is goods that intended to be of pyrotechnic effect that are classified low hazard fireworks such as firework showers, fountains, golden rain, lawn lights, pin wheels, sparkles and volcanoes etc.

“Fire Cracker” means small fireworks with entwined fuses used solely as noise makers and not for pyrotechnic effect.

“Nuisance Fireworks” means a fireworks product that produces an effect involving a screech or noise, or is being altered or misused that has the effect of creating fear or disturbance to residents. These include fireworks such as air bombs, supersonic bang, sound shells, fountain whistle, screeches etc.

“Family Package”- means outdoor low hazard recreational fireworks.

These are definitions from the policy guidelines for eThekwini
http://www1.durban.gov.za/durban/government/policy/fireworks

Your municipality will have something different, a display firework is NOT a Nuisance Firework in Durban at least.

I suspect it'll be similar to his previous lucid moment, which is to say not very lucid at all.

I live in mortal fear that I'll need to move to KZN at some point, and this oke will be tasked with dispensing my prescription meds...

To be fair here in the Cape his brethren constantly got dosage, prescribing doctor etc wrong with mine.

Well they don't exactly have to be smart really. Doctor writes everything for them on a piece of paper. It's not like it takes a rocket scientist to be able to do their job.

lol I learnt that sound thing from the discovery channel's survival programme (i also didnt claim it to be accurate). Im well aware its quite off, the point is to make life easy is estimation. Im sure you can do complex calculations in your head on the fly and take accurate measurements maybe you have a mass spectrometer built in your head.

I do not so yeah I still use that estimation and its works well

Holy crap. Talk about missing the point. And this guy works in a pharmacy dispensing drugs for people? :wtf:

He's now admitted that he has been wrong this entire time. We await acceptance of the fact though...

Right it was actually the docs who got the dosages wrong not them but you'd think they'd know enough to spot it.

But yeah I am very familiar the Riax experience. He embodies the entire 'profession' perfectly. So credit to him on that part.

Something inordinately loud doesn't cease being a nuisance just because it also makes sparklies.

the law is not subject to your interpretation. If they were one and the same they would not be defined separately

Um no - logic fail pharmaboy - it's blame the murderer don't blame the gun, not blame the victim, don't blame the gun

then dont blame the firework

You blame the ****wit setting off the fireworks. Why on Earth is this so difficult for you to grasp?!

You blame the person down the street because you didnt enclose your animal properly ? ...

Chill. He's finally admitted that he's wrong. Now he just needs to accept that...

Im not wrong. Its within the boundaries of the hindu community by law. See loaded question

FYI, among the dead animals were 4 sheep who were so traumatised they forced they way through a fence and landed on a National Road.

Again responsibility of the owner of the sheep to ensure that their enclosure can house them properly and securely. Go on check it up its in the law you lot like to refer to.

h wait, that's right, the farmer should have drugged them all or sent them to the SPCA

he shouldve had a proper fence

Does that mean you've repeated law 1 six times?

Nope 2 law modules. 2 written exams and 1 oral per module. Resulting to insults now are we ? shame those also dont work in law, actually hurts your case

he doesn't really have a clue about the law.

really? im not the one passing recommendations as an act. Again provide the regulations of the act then talk. Thats if you know what regulations are lol

Something inordinately loud doesn't cease being a nuisance just because it also makes sparklies.

It is not considered a nuisance firework. Therefore by legality all subsections prohibiting fireworks defined by "nuisance" do not apply to this class of firework. Your subjective opinion again has no bearing

Well they don't exactly have to be smart really. Doctor writes everything for them on a piece of paper. It's not like it takes a rocket scientist to be able to do their job.

ah the infamous 'tablet counter'. If you think this is all a pharmacist does then its no wonder you are battling to understand the law.

You people prevent racial and cultural cohesion among people. That is why people throw the race card at you. You are no different from people like Malema. Though you too blind to see it

You people! You don't understand the law! lol! Only I do! You're racist! You're the problem with this country! You're too stupid to understand!

But pity me because people think I talk schit!

All of that in one post. Exemplary work there, RiaX. Truly spectacular...

says the guy that tried to make me say "fireworks are bad" by isolating one type of firework  honorable type you are

EDIT:

If any of you have real official experience with law you welcome to challenge me. Though its clear you dont. Look at how you read the law and what you reference

lets see were you also on the "anti-halaal" bandwagon ?

oh yeah Im not calling you racist BTW im just merely explaining why people do - though you cant understand that either .... what a shame

I didn't whatsoever. I see this whole English thing is still not catching on with you. I asked you if it is too much to ask that people not detonate loud banging fireworks. I did not ask you to agree that fireworks are all bad, and I certainly didn't attempt to contrive a response along those lines from you. I've always been fine with those that don't scare the bejeezuz out of animals.

But you'll need to go back and read what you wrote. You admitted that you were wrong. It was a beautiful moment - admitting one is wrong is perfectly fine. Don't be ashamed of it. Own it!

Yes and by

loud banging fireworks

those are crackers those have been banned and I agree with that. The display shells that the common person can buy arent loud

I've always been fine with those that don't scare the bejeezuz out of animals.

Even if your display shell was silent an animal will probably still respond to the light aspect. It responds because it doesnt understand what it is. animals fear what they dont understand

So take a sparkler to a dog and it will run away or it will try to sniff it and then run away

those are crackers those have been banned and I agree with that. The display shells that the common person can buy arent loud

So now you admit that the fireworks ToxicBunny heard weren't legal? Because if it can rattle your windows it's definitely loud.

Then have someone in your Pinky and the Brain Lab check your hearing, 'cos it's fscked!

This, of course, based on your extensive testing of animals, right? Or your long history of pet ownership? BTW, tamagotchis don't count as pets, RiaX, no matter how much you still feed yours.

This psychological analysis of dog behaviour you're attempting to pass off as fact is about as accurate as your English-typing skills. Who edits your research papers, btw? Oxford, themselves? I can hear them clearly, from within a 7km radius. Are those the silent ones you're talking about? The supposed display rockets that have no sound, and have magical protection from the law in case they do?

So take a sparkler to a dog and it will run away or it will try to sniff it and then run away

By god, Holmes, then they certainly can't hear the loud ones!

Clearly my dog schitting and pissing herself every time there are fireworks is just a coincidence. Perhaps fireworks and clowns go hand in hand and she spotted one with a particularly large nose, peeking over the fence? Yeah, that must be it. After all, the fireworks that people let off these days are silent. Even the ones that require an explosion. RiaX told me this. And he's...like...a pseudo-pharmacist. So he pretends to know what the fsck he's talking about...

Nope. Either he is exaggerating or his house is made out of cardboard

Then have someone in your Pinky and the Brain Lab check your hearing, 'cos it's fscked!

Did that its normal. Had to do screening before being able to take on sonication based manufacture procedures

This, of course, based on your extensive testing of animals, right? Or your long history of pet ownership?

hmmm... I do own dogs. Never had a problem. Never had an issue with the sedatives either when they were pups. My AM staff just chills and watches the display through the gate like a boss

Who edits your research papers, btw? Oxford, themselves?

lol you wont believe me if I told you anyways. So there is no point but its edited by 3 universities one in spain, one in the USA and one here

I can hear them clearly, from within a 7km radius

So? does it rattle your windows from 7km away as well? or is it a pop

The supposed display rockets that have no sound, and have magical protection from the law in case they do?

rockets are technically illegal due to lack of control during flight and erratic flight paths. If you talking about launching display shells then the law is quite clear on those. Again fireworks arent classified according to their sound its really not that hard to understand.

By god, Holmes, then they certainly can't hear the loud ones!

natural response to fire ?

Clearly my dog schitting and pissing herself every time there are fireworks is just a coincidence.

poorly trained dog

Perhaps fireworks and clowns go hand in hand and she spotted one with a particularly large nose, peeking over the fence?

pretty sure your dog will go ape **** if it saw a clown peaking through the fence

After all, the fireworks that people let off these days are silent. Even the ones that require an explosion. RiaX told me this.

I did no such thing. In fact I told you the opposite its impossible to get silent fireworks. Though thats what you people want you want an entire community of people to throw away their beliefs and culture (the most important one) to remove sound so you can have your away.... keep telling yourself you tolerant its working well

You heard it here first! All the new fireworks are not loud at all. Fireworks users are never responsible for their actions if a pet is injured or killed. Ever. Nor when a child is injured or killed. Everyone who says that fireworks are loud is lying, exaggerating, or they live in a cardboard box. Dogs are afraid of sparklers, therefore them being petrified about silent fireworks is just natural and so it doesn't matter. Rocket fireworks are not nuisance fireworks, even if they make a noise, because I know law and nobody else does. Everyone who disagrees is racist and is the problem with this country.

The arguments of RiaX, consolidated for new entrants.

RiaX, I'm pretty sure even ardent supporters of loud bang fireworks are facepalming and wishing that you'd just shut the hell up while you're still only a few hundred furlongs behind...

Wait a sec. You keep referring to display shells. These are the ones intended for displays, right? Hence the name. The ones that require public display permits and permission from authorities to fire?

the new fireworks arent loud. They a far cry from the infamous indian king or any loud firework that was available in the 80s and 90s - fact

children arent really suppose to be playing with fireworks you need to be 16 years or older by law so that injury is due to parental failure - fact

Most of you here are exaggerating on the noise because of your dislike towards fireworks and if your windows are rattling from even a 1km away then yeah your house is ****. My house never rattles during diwali and its as you people like to say "a warzone" where i live

Rocket fireworks are not nuisance they are rockets as defined by law

Dogs are afraid of sparklers

they afraid of matches too ... go test it

You did no such thing? You told us that modern fireworks are not loud. You also apparently fail to understand how a dog's hearing works with statements like "it's just a pop", irrespective of how absurdly false that statement in and of itself is...
