Diwali Fireworks

for fireworks it does actually work. If no one makes it no one can buy it. Fireworks arent this HUUUGE trade like drugs
Does it now? I suspect this statement is made with the same degree of care and integrity that would lead you to using faked imagery to bolster your arguments. Your continued disregard for being called out on misrepresenting others does, though, work as a nice admission that you are just actually just that slimy.

Have you done physics ? when you learn how to make 'silent' aerial display fireworks. Let us know

Have you? How do Hindu's in the UK celebrate Diwali?

Have you never seen a laser show?

Lastly, thank you, for demonstrating my practical experience point. I couldn't have wished for a better example.

I have seen the laser light shows they are very cool love them and they can also let off chinese lanterns if they want to emphasise the light part of their celebration without bangs :D.

this isnt the UK. So i dont care how they celebrate there

laser shows are nice. Ive only seen one though :(

they arent chinese. Did see a few lanterns and flares this year though. Boring

Have had one of those evenings, so forgive the ranting.

Why does Diwali (Festival of Lights) have to entail people using rockets etc to do their celebrations at home?

I've had to deal with a dog that was scared witless because some idiots felt it was their right to let off rockets at home that would shake my windows from 5 houses away. Grates me even more that after me and 4 other neighbours went over and asked nicely for them to stop they pretty much gave us the finger and continued letting off rockets, and told us in no uncertain terms that they would only stop if the police arrived and told them it was illegal.

So instead of being neighbourly and stopping since they could see we were upset, they ended up having to deal with the police and the fine that came with it.

**edit** for those who may misunderstand this. I have no issue with the smaller fireworks that don't make a ridiculous amount of noise. I also have an issue with these damn loud fireworks regardless of the day

So you're blaming other people for your own decision to get a animal that you can't take of properly?

Sounds legit.

I have been saying for ages that people should require licenses to have pets.

If you don't have a plan for your pets when it comes to fireworks, you shouldn't have a pet. Simple as that.

What a dimwitted comment and point of view. It's like saying the criminals aren't the problem but rather the people who dont take enough precautions to protect their homes.

How else would he be able to justify being inconsiderate of others if not by turning the victims of his thoughtlessness into the aggressor?

This is not about "changing" people. This is about people needing to follow the law, as well as have the common decency not to disrupt their neighbours lives so that they can have a bit of fun.

Yet, you aren't expected to have decency with regards to their traditions.

That's not hypocritical at all.

Um no.

The dates of these celebrations are known well in advance. I'm sure you could look them for the next ten years.

So if you don't protect your animals it's your own fault. It's not like the dates are random.

It's closer to a crimal letting you know when his coming and you unlock your doors instead.

You do realize how selfish you guys sound?

You guys sound like an old grampa screaming "get of my lawn".

How about you learn some tolerance? Or is it not good enough because they're different from you?

I'll never understand this mentality. "It's my religious belief that I can make loud noise, mutilate the genitals of infants, bang a drum at 03:00 in the morning and force your food outlets to stop selling the food and other items as well as control what you may or may not watch on television that I find offensive" therefore you're indecent for disagreeing with me and my traditions.

We live in what is supposed to be a "tolerant" society where we have to put up with each other. If your actions, beliefs, whatever cause harm to others or is in any way non-consensual then compromise and celebrate in a different way.

But wait, that requires too much "give" and not enough "take," correct?

Hah... Funny, when you're the one who wants OTHER people to put up with YOUR actions that AFFECT THEM, then "tolerance, tolerance, tolerance."

But gods forbid you be tolerant of your neighbours and not allow your bat****tery to affect them, eh?

P.S. That's kind of the "ideal" for what makes "tolerance" tolerable: finding a compromise that doesn't negatively impact each other. And if your actions result in actively upsetting others, then the onus is on you to find a middle-ground, not the people you're actively upsetting.

Just because something is tradition doesn't make is right. If it directly affects other people and their pets in a negative way then it should be illegal (which it is). If you think firing off fireworks that make is sound like you are being shelled by the army is your tradition and your right then you are sorely mistaken. It just make you an a grade *******. I'm all for tolerance but don't start giving me this BS about culture and tradition as an excuse to do whatever you want.

It's my religious belief that I can make loud noise

they not loud. For the 100th time the loud crackers are BANNED. They make sounds yes you cant avoid it and its for 4 hours in the entire year you can have the other 8756 hours firework free no problem

well since you dont understand religious belief, i suppose you have no problems giving up your public holidays good friday and christmas day then ?

mutilate the genitals of infants

that illegal? what world you living in where is this tolerated .... just shows how full of **** your kind is

force your food outlets to stop selling the food and other items

no one forces them? thats a decision made by the owner of the business ... again well done, what a stellar perspective you have

We live in what is supposed to be a "tolerant" society where we have to put up with each other.

and you have just shown you are intolerant

But wait, that requires too much "give" and not enough "take," correct?

like what you asking for ?

crackers are banned
pointless fireworks are banned
times are limited

but what you really want is to ban and get rid of celebrations completely.

Hey, RiaX, because this is clearly not clear enough: you have a comprehension problem and are incapable of reading or reason.

For that reason, I have no interest in wasting my time with you.

Have a nice day.
