Do the right thing, Microsoft

If MS did the right thing they will remove windows versions older than 10 from the market.

And make it so that Windows 10 is even better, like better settings windows and immediately showing newly installed printers so one can make configuration changes.

I found the IT guy that installs clutter on our machines.
I'm not working on THEIR machines - I'm configuring their account on MY machine. The customer isn't even present - they send me their details by phone or whatsapp or email.
Usually I can do it by TeamViewer, but not everybody likes having that installed.
If you have clutter on your computer there is only one person to blame.
Also any IT guy worth his salt will know they can open more than one window of the same browser and you don't need separate browser installs to do so.
Like I said - it is my preference.
I'm not going to sign out of Facebook on my own browser when I can just as easily sign in on a different browser.
If you don't like that... tough tatties.

There are multiple reasons for these things to exist.
Some of these browsers have tighter security, some of them employ multiple layout engines, some of them have features that other browsers lack.
If you want to remain ignorant of that - it's not my problem.
But I love to test and play with software so that I can recommend it to other people and know what I'm talking about.

Someone who thinks he is so smart...

So tell me how my GMail account and FB account can stay logged in and I'll still be able to log into someone else Gmail and FB profiles on that same browser?

Private mode if you're just testing?
You can also sign into multiple Google accounts in one browser.

These guys are so reactionary about defending Windows 10 that they are now attacking people for wanting to use a different browser.
As if this guy from Vivaldi has personally offended them, or maybe they are chipped at my opening sarcastic comment.

Incognito/Private mode?

Which then leaves a record of that account on the Gmail login page, even if you don't save the password.
And you can't do that with Facebook.
I don't want to see a list of all the accounts of clients I have helped in the past on my Gmail login page.

Windows 10 has had how many updates so far? 2 I think. They are aware of the preference settings and it's something I think they've already fixed.

They history of the login is not stored on your computer - it's remembered by Gmail.

As in on the server side or client side (the autofill?)? Thought incognito mode destroys all the cookies and what not when the session ends

EDIT: I re-read your post. Fair enough.

You're not signing out from your Google account, you're just adding another one.

I wouldn't know - I'm just going by the guy's complaint in the article.

Then I don't know what list you're referring to.

On the Gmail login page - it remembers every account that you have ever signed into with that browser.
And that record of previous logins is not stored in the cookie, it's stored in Gmail's session activity log.
You can even sign into your account and see the list of sessions - and kill them from there if you want.
