Do u Pirate games?

If I can easily avoid a risk, I'd be stupid to take one anyway. It's not like it's harming the game companies (except the ones who's games I don't like, in which case more deserving companies benefit).

That's a real blame-the-victim mentality. "See baby, if you just did what I said I wouldn't have to hit you". It's the game companies putting the anti-piracy protection on the games. Not the pirates. The pirates aren't even slowed down by it. It's purely the game companies hurting their own customers.

They are trying to protect themselves the same way we put up high fences around our homes even though those fences don't mean a thing against the really determined criminal.

They are trying to protect themselves, going about it the wrong way but they wouldn't to protect themselves if pirates weren't pirating their games.

this is makes me want to pirate...

...i bought myself devil may cry 4 and it finally arrived yesterday.

Installed the thing, but when i tried to start it says **** you, you don't have the legit disc in the drive. So i had to go to crack site and get a crack i see there is a crack for 1.0 and 1.0; in the end i couldn't find the update i thought that at least would solve the disc issue so i went with 1.0.

Nontheless i continue on and play....play..CRASH... wtf, /sigh reinstall graphic drivers and dx. Same thing it still crashes /google and then i see that the installer just decided that you have a sli configuration and now i have to manually edit the config file and set sli=off.

That makes we want to **** THIS i wont buy it and defninitly pirate the next release from capcom...

Sorry but there's always a risk in buying something, there always the chance that you won't like it.

Do you guys also read a whole book and only then decide to buy it because you liked it?? Do you guys also want to get a free pizza and only pay for it if you liked it??

That can happen with all products not just games. It doesn't justify copy right infringement.

I agree with you that there is always a risk in buying any product, but I do believe that the way suppliers treat their customers also influence their behaviour.

For example, if I buy a pizza and the chicken was off I take it back and ask for a refund. If they apologise, give my a refund/credit and a round of drinks I will probably go there again. The gaming companies treat their customers differently, at least as far as I know. If I buy a game and it doesn't work, especially freezing up, they don't offer refunds or credit to make up for their poor product. Sure, sometimes they bring out patches. But if I have to patch a game several times I will definitely never buy any sequel.

Not everyone complains, most people just won't go to that pizzeria in again.

It depends what the problem with the game is. I have exchanged and gotten refunded for quite a few games from retailers when they haven't worked properly. The problem with games is its very hard to pinpoint faults, is it the game or is it the customers system or a combination of both?? That makes it a lot harder to offer exchanges/refunds while with food if there's some wrong with it you can be sure it isn't the customers body that's incompatible.
