if u hate pirates and ppl who buy pirated games,then let it all out here.



i for one buy pirated games,and on a rare time i would pirate a few.


(remember Piracy is legal in SA)
 
Yes. Have them at R200 I'd gladly dish out. But @ R400/R500, no ways.

Offer content with 40+ Hours of gameplay, I'll give you R400/500, but that much for 6 hours isn't worth it
 
Piracy is not legal in SA. Its clearly a violation of our copy right laws.

I don't pirate games and consider anyone one who is earning his own money but still choses to pirate to be a cheapskate idiot. Oh yeah I also blame for the drm we the legitimate buyers have put up with.

I can understand why kids at school and students pirate and in some way its good that they get introduced to gaming even if piracy isn't the ideal way. But if they continue to pirate when they start to earn their own cash they fall into the cheapskate idiot category.
 
I usually buy games, but occasionally I copy something. If its crap and i just want to check it out then i won't waste my money. If i'm unsure i wont waste my dough.
Great games get my cash no probs.

I have nothing against people who "share"(i do that sometimes) but ppl who make money from it will and should pay the price its a crime.

Yes I pirate I do not buy I get from friends at lans.
DO NOT SUPPORT THE PRICKS THAT SELL IT.

If the game is good I buy it.
 
I buy only games worthy of buying.

eg. I bought Oblivion, GTA: San Andreas and Vice City

I won't buy games that aren't worth my money for various reasons eg. the new GTA IV that doesn't even work properly, and the newer games that are just pumped out to make lots of money, yes they can be good games eg. Far Cry 2, but I lose interest after a while.
 
Everything of mine is pirated beside three thing

AGE of empire bundle(age of empire 1 + expansion + age of empire 2 + expansion ) bought it for R59 from CNA >> I could have downloaded it but its 5.2gig

Flight simulator 3 > R79

Master of olyplies and Swat 3 lite > 69

and the drivers disk that came with the hardware I bought

anything else dasher?
 
I'll pirate it first, if it gets more than a couple of hours play out of it I buy it. Only if I played a previous game in a series that was just awesome will I buy a game without trying it via piracy.

Recently played King's Bounty but now struggling to find it for sale on any of the local sites (take2/kalahari/etc). If it doesn't come to a local distributor in a few months I'll import it from overseas.

And don't support the people selling pirated discs, that syphons real money away from developers.
 
I used to buy games, but recently I cant get the stupid new games to run on my pc. Not because my pc is`nt up for it, but because the games just doesnt work.
I never buy from people that sell it. I download it or get it from friends.
So yes i do get and play copied games (if it works that is)

Yes - but I've bought everything I've ever pirated, and even pirated some things I've bought - AKA removing DRM rubbish.

/me loves collecting games.
 
I spent hundreds (maybe more) of hours on Oblivion and thousands of hours (tens of thousands) on Diablo. I would pay alot if I knew that the game would be like that.

Crysis on the other hand. I played it till it was finished, and then a bit more ... to play with the sharks ... with some cheats ... but that was it.
 
If a game is worth buying I will buy it, like GTA, Crysis and COD4.

I will not buy pirated games, but will copy games from friends and the internet cuz sometimes you want a feel. For example I am glad I did not buy Bio-Shock and played about 2 hours of it before I realised I did not like it.

Quiet honestly I do not understand the 'taboo' around the piracy of software. I have yet to meet someone who has not done it?
