What happens when 3I/ATLAS dives toward the Sun? One signature could expose interstellar origins, hidden composition, and non-gravitational forces at play.
Loeb pinpoints what to watch: abrupt brightening vs. erosion, outgassing asymmetry, and dust-to-gas shifts that defy textbook comets.
If it flares the “wrong” way, the implications are seismic—on formation models, radiation-driven activity, even interstellar visitors. Miss this, and you’ll miss the moment the solar corona turns a mystery object into a lab experiment.
Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb joins me to discuss the latest revelations about interstellar object 3I/ATLAS as it makes its closest approach to Mars.
From HiRISE images to unusual chemistry, polarization anomalies, and even a potential link to the Wow! Signal, this conversation explores whether 3I/ATLAS is a natural comet or a possible technological artifact.
Along the way, we cover censorship from Galileo to today’s UAP debates, the “Sputnik moment” of interstellar objects, and what a global response might look like.

He makes his living speaking crap to gullible people. How can calling that out be an ad hominem?
Tell me more about the UAS Response Playbook and the definition of unmanned systems.
The playbook covers as far as UAP are concerned:
Recognition of UAS as a security threat.
Inclusion / acknowledgement of UAP/anomalous phenomena.
Need for coordination across levels (federal, state & local).
Public communication & uncertainty management.
Here's a link to the Washington Emergency Management Division (WEMD) Threats and Hazards Preparedness Framework document which also deals with UAP phenomena, and overlaps with UAS Response Handbook.
Who are you talking about? He's a university professor. A crackpot one at that. He has no idea what the security establishment knows about threats. If they thought there was a threat he could give advice on, they would consult him.
From a purely mathematical perspective, the chances of life existing elsewhere in the universe is pretty high, in my opinion.
We're on one planet in one galaxy, the milky way. This galaxy alone has an estimated 100 billion planets.
Then there's over 2 trillion galaxies.
I think it's near certain that life in some form would exist elsewhere!!
Yes, but how did they get from all the way over there to all the way over here in a tic tac? From a purely mathematical perspective, the chances of life existing elsewhere in the universe is pretty high, in my opinion.

I love Mick West but his debunkings on this specific event are all purely focused on the technicalities of the sighting.
He's ignoring mountains of other details from testimony etc. that make this even way more interesting than it seems at first glance ....and, I get that, ultimately you'd want physical evidence, but, the debunkers have definitely not come close to explaining this one away.
I have hours of video from someone who did a painstaking deep dive, unfortunately I had to download them from a paywall site a few years ago so it's only on my Plex now.
This video from LEMMiNO did a great job though at summarising the event from a skeptical view.
Ultimately I'm still not convinced by anything, but it is undoubtedly the best "classical UFO" event I know about.
