Ok - own up - do you regularly catch yourself chimping? :D

I often review the first couple shots - exp the histogram and the preview with the over-exposure warning but after that the display bugs me so I usually disable it.

Ok had to go see what you were on about there

Chimping is a term used in digital photography (especially when using a digital single-lens reflex camera or DSLR) to describe the habit of checking every photo on the on-camera display (LCD) immediately after capture.
Here it is to save your bandwidth.:D
I don't think such a prudent action needs a special name. Of course you need to check in case the picture is a dud. Then you can take a better one.

And the award winning picture you've missed while inspecting the one you've just taken (chimping) . . . . :)

I cant see that you should need to review every shot especially not if you are a competent photographer. Thats the beauty of the SLR - WYSIWYG. :)

I just have a quick look at the histogram. I use to chimp all the time with my fist digital camera. :D

I chimp, occasionally.
I've got a few pics of my finger already, so I have to.

Usually take 3 to 6 pics of whatever it is I want a pic of, that way I always get at least one good one. Sometimes 6 good ones...

Got 7 gigs of memory, so can take plenty.
