This thread is a vegan's worst nightmare....
I mostly think of the next kind of meat I'm going to eat while I'm eating meat ...While I do eat meat I find myself thinking more and more about the ethics of it.
you're in luck, pretty much ALL meat grown in South Africa is free range, chicken and to some extent pork is where it gets a bit dodgy locallydon't think it's right that factory farming produces so much meat so cheaply. I try to stick to ethically-sourced (free range) meat as much as I can, with the result that I end up typically eating rather little of it. I don't always succeed, and good meat is really really expensive, but it's something I'm working towards.
So you are vegetarian because you are Indian so why the long postI am vegetarian, was just a natural transition for me.....as I cultivated a bit of more awareness within myself...-on one dimension. I started feeling the heaviness and rather acidic after my normal/favourite meals...just got to a point, where I went...ok lets try no meat for a couple of weeks...could feel the ease at which my body started running... started eating consciously....not mixing acid and alkaline producing food stuffs at the same time....cut out milk,., started replacing my meals with a balance of fruits/nuts/veggies/legumes...
on occasions when I am out, I eat whatever vegetarian options are available/offered.. usually cardboard look and feel like meat, when fish and a quick salad would have worked, but appreciate people's effort .My staple food is dahl in winter and whatever seasonal veggies are available... really inexpensive...you eat what the body requires, not what the tongue demands - not that the tongue does not at times win the debate.... eating should not be a philosophy, find out what works for you and run with it...
Oh no now im hungry, thank you so much for that
dont think many realise how organic/still natural our food supply general still is , from meats to fruit and veggies... although I have my doubts about some of Woolies fresh produce.I mostly think of the next kind of meat I'm going to eat while I'm eating meat ...

but ZA lamb and ZA beef IS free range, even if it doesn't have the label, the label costs money which not all farmers wanna pay for
That looks delicious
Haibo ...I have been accused of many things...78.5% of those might be true....but never have I been accused of being Indian....just because I know how to cook dahl, am a yogi , have a guru...So you are vegetarian because you are Indian so why the long post
But I guess you are guilty of having an A blood type?Haibo ...I have been accused of many things...78.5% of those might be true....but never have I been accused of being Indian....
Egg on steak, egg McMuffin, egg in a dagwood, egg in a burger, egg and sausages for breakfast, egg in a ceviche, it just worksI've never seen the appeal behind adding egg to a meat meal. There's already a lot of protein!
So you have lentil soup thenHaibo ...I have been accused of many things...78.5% of those might be true....but never have I been accused of being Indian....just because I know how to cook dahl, am a yogi , have a guru...
nah, common Type BBut I guess you are guilty of having an A blood type?
not partial - like my dahl to have the consistency of porridge, ghee/butter is the key to getting it to that level...So you have lentil soup then
Normally Type A can't handle too much meat. Type B is not that common in certain parts of the world. Like SA. Where do you live? Hong Kong?nah, common Type B
So a decent abattoir then. Those are nice.It really is painless - what I witnessed is a gun shot to the head. Instant
I'm A+ , no prob eating meat like a horse most of my life. It's the starch that does me in.Normally Type A can't handle too much meat.
