I don't drive so if I'm in an accident I'm looking at 3rd party claim

next
How's that 3rd party claim going to help you when the ambulance takes you to the local provincial hell hole hospital where there's a strong probability you'll not get attended to for hours and may succumb to your injuries before you are even seen?

its not difficult to come up with a tiring amount of possibilities, but thats your problem, not mine

I've accepted the risk, like I told the other person, what do you expect to gain from this exchange?

@Snyper564 , here. Happened between 2017/2018. And the irritating thing, were the premiums reduced? No. For a tenth of the cover. That's why gap has now expanded to trauma cover etc because a lot of folks were furious at the reduction of benefits but not cost.

Then why do you engage in threads in the first place and then still go on to say dumb sht like you'll claim from 3rd party to explain how you'll avoid getting taken to some hellhole hospital where life is worthless. People are here to learn from others, stop being so thin skinned for fksks.

And the only possibility I’m truly worried about without medical aid is indeed ending up in a sht hole state hospital when I’m man down and not able to speak for myself or defend myself.

the thread is a question, I answered the question, but that doesn't mean my answer can now be interrogated by everyone and anyone

thats your concerns, not mine, I'm not here to address your problems

You are one confused little man, as you were.

Ever see a large crowd of people looking at a car accident? People are fascinated by disaster. Same thing happened with that gas tanker explosion a year ago. It stems from a part of our brain that we share with primates, they will sit and look at a snake.

What everyone is doing here is looking at a car accident, with you in the middle of it.

false equivalence, not everyone is looking, and I am still going about my life whereas a car accident is a disruption, also those that are fascinated by the accident don't go to the victims or person responsible for the accident and ask them question after question

also try to use the appeal to a majority more carefully next time

You're late MartinGB
Was wondering all day where you were

Other: No need for gap cover, NHI will be here soon
What happens if you crash the Suzuki Super Carry into another Suzuki Super Carry and you are seriously injured?

If two Suzuki Supper Carrys crash head on with each other each driver will have a mild headache, coupla panados will sort it out

No and haven't really seen the need so far. My family has had about 5 hospitalizations in the last 5 years. Each time the Discovery Coastal Core has paid almost all of it.

Two most recent admissions:
December 2023 135k (hospital plan paid 134.5)
January 2024 175k (hospital plan paid 171)

The 4k pay in recently was for the anesthetist. Interestingly the specialist vascular surgeon and gynecologist were 100% covered. MRI and CT scans also paid for in full. This is in top hospitals in CT.

What has stung is out of hospital expenses but gap cover wouldnt pay those either.

That's impressive considering you are on Costal core which is near the lowest tier in terms of the percentage covered over and above medical aid rates.

Gap cover really offers the best value when it’s more than one person under the policy because it covers all the family members or dependents under one premium.

Another scam brought to you by medical aids. “We short pay so that you need an additional insurance to cover what we should have covered.” You’re insuring insurance. Madness. We bend over and take it.

yep. Ours covers 4 but my mother has her own due to age and its more than ours, quite expensive.
