Do you have job satisfation

Oh heck no!

Employer is financial pooh because of THEIR mismanagement. Plus received new contracts today, which entails a 30% cut in my hourly rate... I think I need to move on!

Love my job (sports photographer) - granted I get sent to some of the bigger dumps in the Eastern Cape like Mthatha, Uitenhage, and East London on a fairly regular basis but even then I'm doing what I love so it's all good. A trip to cover the RWC 2015 is also on the cards. :)

Sometimes love it ,when there is faultfinding to be done . Mostly Im just a highly paid switch operator
Im an electrician in petrochem
 
Software Developer. Based on job role and tasks needed to perform only, yes.
 
most unpredictable job(i can work with cars parts on monday, shoes on tuesday,Automated Conveyor Systems on wednesday,etc)... new problems to solve everyday..somehow i must just figure it out and configure the system to work.. overall satisfying when some says thank you for making my job easier
 
yes when its busy.. i like being busy and pushing out completed tasks as makes me feel progress/achievement. long way ahead so lots to do, career pre-planning for next 1-3 etc which im setting in motion. so yah.. what i do day to day matters lesser to me which explains why i changed industries as many times as i have.
 
I don't mind my job as a developer. Definitely not what I love but something I am decent at and get some satisfaction out of. I work with nice people for a good package though so its more about golden handcuffs than anything else. Reason I am here is it pays well while being something I can tolerate. My passions (military history and teaching) don't pay much so I keep them as hobbies.
 
Yes. I could do without the endless admin though...

Clients, co-workers, the actual work etc is all pretty cool.

Not exactly coining it given the high stress levels, but I'd imagine everyone has that complaint.
 
I am a junior developer and hate my job. Bored to death and feels like its a dead end job.

Love what I do. Monday is just another day. Irritates my wife no end because she hates the start of a new week. Says I have not worked a day in my life :D

I started coding as a hobby 27 years ago. 9 years later I discovered I could code as a career. So now I earn a living doing my hobby :cool:

Software developer - contractor.
 
Job satisfaction? Most of the time when working on interesting projects, but those "lull periods" you get grinds my soul.

Only 42 and yes semi-retired. Guess luck was on my side but with that said I work my backside off during the past 10 odd years. A decade back I had nothing, no house, no car, not even a bloody bicycle. Had to sell everything to cover debts left over from business that went belly up... thanks to friends and partners....

Started over with a borrowed R5,000 in 2003 and as they say rest is history.

Made one good friend though, the sheriff, he came to visit me more than any of my old 'friends' did ... :D
