Do you have job satisfation

I thought I did.

But not after last week. And not with the prospect of the next couple of years.

I'm an auditor. I have the worst job in this thread. I hate it so much.

On that note I'm currently looking to move into commerce (either Financial management or Management accounting). If anyone here knows of anyone looking or an accountant, please PM me and I'll send through my CV.

Used to have job satisfaction when I was one of the reliable, resilient IT guys. Then the politics and the slackers made me hate the place. I eventually moved on to manage clients infrastructure, which is interesting to a point, but now I'm bored to death sitting on MyBB :P

I'd like to be involved in more of the projects, that's where it is interesting. What would I change ? ... well I'm considering going to into development as a career change, there are more job opportunities and the chance to freelance or work from home.

I'd be happy to be able to work from home now and then, sitting in my boxers with a nut hanging out.

I used to be happy at first...the hate for my job started during the PA reviews where employees are led to believe that they can negotiate their ratings with their managers, but I found out that those ratings are per-determined and that there is nothing that a lowly employee such as myself can do but to just swallow it...

Then the manipulation that my manager uses to overpower you in those reviews by using scriptures in the bible...I mean, who am i to argue against the word of the Lord and my rating...

And now as a programmer, my job basically consists of doing VLookups in excel spreadsheets. Can you believe it?

Would have slit my writs a while back...

Only 42 and yes semi-retired. Guess luck was on my side but with that said I work my backside off during the past 10 odd years. A decade back I had nothing, no house, no car, not even a bloody bicycle. Had to sell everything to cover debts left over from business that went belly up... thanks to friends and partners....

Started over with a borrowed R5,000 in 2003 and as they say rest is history.

Made one good friend though, the sheriff, he came to visit me more than any of my old 'friends' did ... :D

Ah, so I'm guessing you started your own business then? Lucky person. Success rate of entrepreneurs is only 2.1% in South Africa!

ZERO job satisfaction , Enginnering field , getting people to do work is a mission.

Spend most of the time drawing reports and making pivot tables, pie and bar charts, and if someone somewhere needs do to something in excel, I end up doing it for them because I put everyone else`s spreadsheets to shame. It sucks.

Project manager in construction? Yes you do.

Engineering
Each person is responsible for their own tasks.
If their tasks are not completed, I get blamed.
The people I deal with are all generally managers well above my grade.
How is that acceptable?
