Yes, and so it's your duty to be strong and protect those around you. Show me how one does that with a pool noodle in your hand?A lot more people here so far that don't have them and don't want to.
They're necessary in a situation like KZN was, I'll give you that. But some won't even agree with that thinking.

Nope. To each their own. It's ok then, those with guns will come and save you.
Already covered. In an urban robbery not creating a threat is a defence that mostly works. Unless losing your owned possessions is more important than that?your duty to be strong and protect
2 way streetbut also don't try to convince us otherwise.
Sure, IF I was trying to convince you not to. I'm not, this is my reasoning, for me.2 way street

You need to do your competency first. I didnt do it due to finances but try to do all 4 at once and its done...How much does it cost to own one ? Is there like a yearly fee involved?

I have to dress like im a size 38 when im a 34 to conceal it. im sure everyone thinks im bigger than i am.You need to do your competency first. I didnt do it due to finances but try to do all 4 at once and its done...
Then get a gun, a safe and apply for your licence. You can also pay people to assist you with the paperwork.
It's a bit of a mission depending on your local SAPS and the DFO's availability and involves a wait but its worth it at the end.
(Remember its not just the gun, afterwards comes the belt, holsters, mags, ammo, range fees, different clothes etc...)
I actually wound up buying 2 safes (but I only have handguns)...one is pretty obvious in the linen closet with my old passport and a few Rands in cash but the other one I spent a bit of time hiding and secured it well.I have to dress like im a size 38 when im a 34 to conceal it. im sure everyone thinks im bigger than i am.
When i did mine it was R980 think its R1900 for competency cert
70 for cops competency
Cant remember maybe 70 to 140 for license app
7k to 18k rough est for gun
Safe i had already
680 for daniels holster
350 to 900 for box 50 rounds
Spare mags 700+- each
Daniels double Mag pouch 700 each
And check to see how long they will hold a firearm for before charging you additional storage fees...All gets done in stages so no need to fork out for everything straight away.
Go speak to you local gunshop, some even let you pay the gun off
