No. Do not like iPhone software, makes life so difficult. Much prefer my android based phones.

It has nothing to do with the brand and certainly not a case of all they know.

You've seen numerous example in this thread of people trying or having had other devices in the past and still choosing Apple. So how can it possibly be all they know?

No, it's got everything to do with the fact that it's a better product for that person's wants/needs.

Please get off this narrative that iPhone people are stupid or sheep for choosing Apple. Just like you believe yourself to have made an informed choice about your device...so did they.

No need to be ashamed if you prefer iphone. We all get old at some stage and prefer to walk around in slippers and a gown. It just works for you at that stage. Same with iphones, it just works for you as a device to make calls on. Comfy and familiar.
 
Yeah. I switched over this year after being on Nexus devices since 2012. Got bored with Android, wanted to try some strange.

I miss Google Assistant.

Lots of people complain about losing WhatsApp history when switching, but surprisingly, I seem to be the sort of person who doesn't regularly review past chats. I haven't ever experienced a moment where I've thought, “Damn, I wish I could read my old texts now”.

Lol...been Apple’ing since my twenties thank you very much.

But you are right. Calls are for old people...very rarely ever make those.

Are you insinuating that SA has lots of poor people who cannot afford to buy a recent iPhone and are therefore only able to afford brands like Xiaomi or are stuck using really old phones like the S6 or older?

Well, the amount of people that seem to think a Xiaomi or Doogee (or whatever other strange named China mobile) or maybe an old Samsung S6 are good enough and find it easier to simply pretend they hate the iPhone while in reality they can't actually afford one so just go wild with insults and made up nonsense about how bad the iPhone is and how happy they are with their Xiaomi Homtom (or old S6).

To be fair I do think everyone should at least try an iPhone out. I did and found it even less user friendly than Symbian S60^5 (touch). I can also say that it is not all moon shine and roses in Android land. Touchwiz and EMUI was good on my first encounter and then it went downhill. I now refuse to use any Android device that does not stock UI or as close to it as possible.

That's why I find an Apple iPhone vs Samsung Galaxy comparison so useless. That's not Android the way it's supposed to be. Again Nokia takes the lead.

I did too, but that only goes so far. Manufacturer changes go much deeper than just the launcher and app try. I do like the EMUI approach of ripping off Apple's no-app menu interface and it works for many people. However the slow as molasses updates you get with such a build is my biggest gripe.

I read this all the time...yet found Nova Launcher to make the Android experience even worse.

Microsoft Launcher is the only thing worth bothering with...if you can't have an iPhone.

Roux does have a point about EMUI, it's been shown to be a significant performance hit on phones that are afflicted with its presence.
