this is my point exactly, lisa Simpson being the older sister of Bart, wanting something familiar to use,
so she enjoys an Apple device, nothing wrong if you enjoy your prune juice and playing bowls.

those of us still young enough, and want more options prefer android, pure android as roux said,
my Wileyfox with custom Roms lets one do that, agree touchwiz is cr@p, EUMI is even worse,
hate being saddled with bloatware, and apple is full of it.

I tried Apple, like I said, built for old people that rich enough to afford its cr@p.

Roux, what phone you have?, sure you could root/Rom your phone and enjoy it more,
not saying its easy, but life's much nicer once your rooted... at least you only need to do it once.
Bart is the oldest. How do you manage to get everything so wrong?

It's the most current list of Android market share by manufacturer, how many of those manufacturers run your "best OS ever" on their phones?
So Windows on a Dell is a different OS than Windows on a HP or Windows on a MSI?

That's the ONLY reason one buys it, no other reason to buy an apple device.

Unless your tired of customisation, and tired of fiddling around with ROMS
Or you have given up trying to get anything better out of what you have, and would rather upgrade when Tim Cook tells you to.

So you state that the only and no other reason reason to buy is a status symbol.....then you give 2 other reasons afterwards.

Do you even read what you type? You have no credibility at all.

Do you own an iPhone? Yes? Or no? Such a simple question one would have thought.

Man, android users have got to be some of the most insecure and opinionated individuals on the planet. :crylaugh:

I can order the Huawei for next day delivery, in stock and ready to send at CarPhoneWarehouse for a cool GBP1499 (so $2011.81 at today's exchange rate).

Now try and order a phone with iOS for your kid for less than R3k.
As with most flagships, including Samsung you actually pay double for what the phone is actually worth, just for the privelage of show and tell.
At least with Android you have more options in practically every conceivable department. Virtually non with iPhone.

It's like you go to fancy restaurant and there's only one item on the menu. The only thing that changes is the cutlery, crockery and decor.

In fairness you can get an iPhone SE for about R4000 which is higher than your 3k but still not outrageous. And I would happily pay that difference for the Family Sharing and Parental Control options offered from Apple.

Even more so now with Screentime on iOS12 where I can do it all remotely.

I do think there is a gap in the market for the equivalent of Kindle HD for Kids from Apple though and they were half way there with the iPhone 5C but it would be cool to see something even more rugged in the iPhone and iPad line specifically for kid use.

iPhone SE is a quality device!! Next generation SE is going to be lit!! Hits the sweet spot for many users both in size and price...

You are missing the point even though it is crystal clear even from your own post. Simply put, Android manufacturers make all kinds of differing quality phones and and Apple don't. Screen resolution, Gorilla Glass, RAM, ROM, CPU etc etc etc.

I had an S7 Edge and a Huawei P8 lite at the same time, and although the P8 lite was nice, the difference in quality and speed was clear. You're not comparing, erm, Apples with apples

The amount of ignorance. I can literally hack into any android device with retard simple apps. Where as non work on iPhones

So you're using the eg2505 argument? Too poor to afford an iPhone or flagship Android so pretend the budget phones are just as good?

At least you aren't making up as much schit as he does to justify it...

That's the beauty of android

That's not an answer.

What percentage of phones use this "best OS"?

If it was "the best OS" surely it would be on a majority of phones sold?

Taps fingers while waiting for that majority percentage to be unveiled by Roux.

Is it 70%? 80? Maybe even 90?

Let me explain it to you this way, some people like brandy, others like something else only made by one manufacturer.

Pure brandy is what I'd say is the best, not on the rocks, not mixed, just neat. No mater what manufacturer made it, just keep it neat for me. But it's still brandy and therefor superior to something else only made by one manufacturer.

Yeah but Samsung skin is like mixing brandy with a little fanta orange, some fanta grape, coke and an appletizer. All over the place trying to be everything to everyone with their meaningless features and gimmicks....
