No - Mozilla Thunderbird is great, is free and it works. I've lost interest in the overly expensive and bloated Microsoft products. Just a rip off and the only annual changes are when they move the buttons around to confuse us.

A year of 365 can almost always be had for R200-350 on OLX. It's worth it just for the 1TB OneDrive storage.

Office hasn't changed button layouts to any major way in many years. Thunderbird is okay, but it looks a decade old. Check out Mailbird if you don't want to use Outlook. It's at least better than Thunderbird imo.

Outlook 2016 is the same out dated rubbish from the original Outlook with most of the same bug. Microsoft is ripping people off by charging for Office 365. When they make Outlook completely compatible with Google Contacts fields and sync etc. then I would say it they have done something to make it is worth the money for the latest version.

Use Microsoft Outlook for my work and home emails.
Setting up gmail accounts on Outlook is easy, and the interface is familiar.

You must be joking. Office 365 is probably the best value subscription in existence, especially if you get a year of it for R200-350 on OLX.

I've been using Outlook for over a decade and it's kept its core attractions whilst making some decent improvements. It has the best layout of any email client I've used, the most features, it doesn't take long to open anymore, responsiveness has come a long way etc.

MS Office is still the best office software available too. If you weren't aware, it costs around $10pm for 1TB storage from Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive etc. So for much less than that (R90pm sub directly from MS or R200-350 for a whole year on OLX), you get 1TB OneDrive storage with Office 365 as well as all the latest Office apps. It's a total no-brainer.

Nope, nopety nope, heck no. Won’t touch with a bargepole.

Why?

Yes. There is nothing better currently.

I was content after upgrading to OUTLOOK 2013, so I readily bought OUTLOOK 2016 when it became available. Even after months of using it continues to irk me. The horrible blue top ribbon with light white wording being just one of the many, and the package is almost double the price.
