I don't trust the Post Office and would not consider posting or receiving parcels either local or international. We subscribe to a weekly news magazine and the only mode of delivery is the PO, however, very few magazines arrive. I'm so tired of checking my postbox and finding it empty.

Nope. May as well throw the money you spent on your parcels down the drain. The sa post-office is just a bunch of thieves

Nope. Not to send anything, or order anything. Still get the occasional e-toll bill or fine via the PO but that is not by choice. Would prefer email.

The Post Office has nevert been transformed but became the Post Office of the 50`s!Racial classification and race superiority is entrenched!Blacks are tasked with frustrating black customers by ill-treating and abusing and indignifying them by communicating to them like a commander and just disappear and not apologise on return and if anyone complain pass them over to security as security has torture chambers in the basements or storerooms!

Do you use the SA Post Office for local or international package delivery? If so, what is your experience?

I used them after a long time and again the package did not reach the destination. Never again

Yes, but Im still waiting for packages to arrive from 2017

Yip, same here, and a few from 2018.

Note : Have just been going through my non-arrivals. One thing is for sure, and that is that very few non-tracked parcels survive the SAPO theft gauntlet.

Tracking is not a guarantee that you will get the parcel, but not having tracking reduces your chances of receiving the parcel significantly.

Insist that the seller sends the parcel with tracked mail.

On orders over R350 with Loot, they offer to post it for free at the PO rather than having to pick it up, so I guess I do.

Letters sent to me from the USA have been received torn open and I even received an empty envelope that had been sent to me from USA by my mother with the letter contents removed. So, no, I will not use the post office if I can avoid it.

I tried it once with Wish - 20% of package arrived (even the one that was "too big" for my post box - 2x3x1cm). I try to avoid the SAPO like the plague, rather using package forwarding or a different supplier. Like all SA SOE, I will never use SAPO again, not even if they can clean up their act - trust broken cannot be repaired. So far I'm not a client of, Telkom, SABC, SAA or SAPO - wish I could have added Eskom to that list.
