Do you use WhatsApp voice notes?

They're great until you get one of those, "Hello julle, ek staan nou hier by die "plek" en ek will net vir julle se dat....... (dit lyk asof hulle drank weer gaan ban)" or something like that. - Proceeds to fearmonger some nonsense or other. Received a TON of that during this pandemic.

Also, I keep my voice notes on 1.5X speed. Ain't nobody got time for that.

If anybody but my staff send me voicenotes I ignore

Press play and hold your phone normally to your ear ... it will switch to ear speaker

If you place your phone to your ear (like you do when on a phone call) Whatsapp will play the voicenote through the ear speaker at the top of the phone and not the loud speaker.

I have no emotion about them, so "other".

But they're convenient when planning with a spouse and don't want to type an essay or not in the mood or unable to fumble with touchscreen keys.

I don't get the hate though, they're just as useful as any other tool.

It is extremely annoying receiving a VN when in a meeting. 5 Min after receiving the VN you get a text, did you listen to my VN

I usually reply to those with 'no, text if urgent, can't listen now'

So you not allowed to touch your phone while you drive, even if it is mounted? What about a paper cup or door handle. Do you always look straight ahead 100% the time, both hands on the steering wheel? Multi tasking?

Whatsapp voice notes are perfect for driving as it only requires your attention for a second or two. You do know you don't need to physically hold in the record button while recording? Button and up and that is it.
