I hate them with a text you can proof read and make sure you don't sound like a moron

Nope, don't send them or listen to them when I receive them.

The whole point of WhatsApp is asynchronous text conversation, if I wanted to talk to you I'd just call you.

And the whole point of text is articulation.

My issue is listening to voice notes - often i am in a public place or work or with other people, and how are you supposed to listen to this then? Ridiculous to have to hold your phone up to your earView attachment 1226760
I think your phone is broken.

The moment you lift it to your ear it should switch, specifically for privacy.

Or is Android being kak again? @Dolby It would explain why I see so many idiots using it on speaker phone all the time.

Other - only when I can't type the message for some reason.

And not a fan when I receive them because I'm usually in a situation where I can't listen to them. e.g. a group setting.

WTF! I didnt know this, mind is blown! Shot, but it still is not something i want to be doing.

I *hate* voicenotes. Not going to sit and listen to a minute or two's long story while I'm seeing a client.

Often leave them unlistened, or until a day later at best.
Then you also get people that sends a voicenote with "Ok".

Like, WTF, you could just send a thumbsup if typing OK was too hard, but f&ck me how is making a voicenote with a single word rational?

Yes, it makes me de moer in.

Pretty much this. Hate voice notes.

Only do voice notes. Kinda wish mybroadband had a reply in voice feature. Typing is a chore. There would also be less arguments since hearing someone talk puts their replies in context aka angry, sarcastic, happy etc

I also hate them. Generally, ignore them.
My Fiancee and her friends love them and I hear that kak all day.

Use them a lot, especially when I want to tell my kids I love them. Good to hear their voices.

It is easier than trying to call them, as the whatsapp will go through without any distortion or loss of voice.

Rest of the time it's just plain whatsapp text.
