Documentaries

Finished the Schumacher documentary just released on Netflix this week. Brilliant. Mick (his son), more or less gives away the current condition of his father. In lieu of it now being almost ten years since his accident, he's probably not getting better and more or less died in 2013.
I'm guessing the family commissioned this doc as a final tribute and this is how we should remember him.
Might switch of the machines now.

Stumbled on to this, so not sure if posted here before:
Just watched it - seems accurate and how I remember the whole State Capture unfolding. However - could be a must-watch for those that did not follow the news over that period, or good as a refresher.

Think Schumacher is on the cards for next Thursday

Watched Where dreams go to die last night - 8/10

I have run a couple of marathon's but this takes madness/determination to a new level.

This was cool-ish, would have liked to see more about what his life was after this, and what he does for a living and did he ever complete the Barkley's?

How does that page thing work? Saw the dude taping a novel to the tree.
And then pages get handed to them everytime they finish a loop.
One loop is about 32km could be as high as 40km.

Insane.

Every runner gets a new bib number at the start of each loop. The books are scattered around the course. They have to collect the page number from the book that matches the bib number they are wearing for that loop. it's a low-tech way to make sure the runners hit every waypoint on each loop.

Watched Apollo 11 on Netflix last night... Amazing camera footage but not much happening 6/10.

Once Upon a Time in Iraq- BBC series from 2020. It shows how the US decision to capture Saddam Hussein may have actually worsened the whole situation than had they actually kept him in power.
