Unbelievable achievement and a great storey line. Maybe the only tiny quibble was that they used oxygen above 8000metres but leaves the challenge open.

Awesome documentary that guy is a legend, I think using oxygen above 8000m makes it possible to climb a lot faster. The average Joe takes about 2-3 months to summit Everest so this really was a ridiculous achievement

What was astonishing was the matter of fact way he went about his business, made more evident when he encountered demoralised K2 hopefulls. Completely altered the prevailing atmosphere in minutes.

Yeah. Done very well. Sound production values also ear opening. My surround system got a good workout in the first two episodes I watched.

Watched this on the weekend. (The Rescue) Was incredible. Never knew they anesthetized them. Was frightening and amazing at the same time.
