Documentaries

Adam Curtis makes some really thought provoking documentaries

I highly recommend:
all watched over by machines of loving grace
the trap
the century of self
The Power of Nightmares

Like Peter Joseph`s stuff, but for grownups and with less brainwashing and bull****

The Cannibal Warlords of Liberia:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRuSS0iiFyo

Liberia, where rape, cannibalism, cocaine and heroin jostle for position. A place of filth, a place where an entire township craps on the beach. If you have ever wondered how africa manages to produce some of the world's most toxic diseases - the answer is probably here.

This is no polished gem from national geographic or discovery, it's a bit gritty end edgy.

Hooking in Joburg
Staying alive in Johannesburg
The Rageh Omaar report - South Africa the party is over
Witness: Hillbrow - Between heaven and hell
Real scenes: Johannesburg
Amandla!: A revolution in four part harmony
Welcome to Lagos (I highly recommend this one. The people showcased in this 3 part documentary inspire me, I always watch this documentary just to remind myself of lots of things that I need to be reminded of. Vocal Slender is my favourite)
Welcome to India (Also highly recommended)

Find them all on youtube.

I've been looking for documentaries on Wolves and Spiders.

BBS - The Documenary

Great watching if you grew during the 80s / 90s using computers. It's interesting to see how far back the battle of pc vs apple users goes :D

I have been a fan of Vice for a long time and they have some great raw journalism. Their documentaries are awesome.

This is one of my recent favourites

Part 1:

Just watched a documentary by Werner Herzog called "Little Dieter Needs to Fly".
It's basically about this german guy who joins the US Airforce and gets shot down in Vietnam.
He is captured and put in a Vietcong POW camp.
Anyway, he goes back to Vietnam with Werner Herzog and recounts the whole story of how he is captured and how he manages to escape and get rescued.
Riveting!

There is also the film Rescue Dawn. I found Steve Zahn's performance haunting
