Does anyone know when the blackberry bold is coming?

Not the Storm, the blackberry bold.

Personally, i don't have the patience to wait for the Storm and secondly, i hate touchscreen keyboards, the iPhone is a nightmare to type with!!!

I called vodacom today, they say that you can get it on any package (only condition being you need to add the Blackberry Email package to your existing contract @ R69). However, still no stock... ETA 10 days.

Yup. I did follow the firmware upgrades for 2.x quite closely. As you know things are much better on the current 2.1 firmware :)
 
i just had a preview of the BB Bold from the BB Rep for our store. 1 word... awesomeness.

Its out already. Its rather chunky for my liking.
Not a fan of the look and feel of the phone.

The menus are far better than the previous BBs though. New user interface is the only selling point apart from 3G that is.
 
If you are used to the Curve I do not think you will like the Bold - more a replacement for the 8800 user
 
I just got my new Blackberry Bold from Vodacom!
Not too impressed, all the hype for a bulky phone (very wide, doesn't feel comfortable).
Display is WOW! The menus are excellent but that's just about it...

Also having random restarts/shutdowns with it... dunno if it's me or the phone, the battery is on 70% though.

Must say, very simple setup... in 10min you're ready to go.

Note to all buyers: Think VERY well & carefully before buying this... Do u just like the idea of having a Blackberry or do u really need the push email technology? If your answer is the latter, then get it... else... save your cashmoney!

That concludes my blackberry fiasco.

Did you not check up on the size before?

But I think (seriously) you're just suffering from a dash of post-sales-blues. Happens to all of us. ;)

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the Bold once you get comfortable with the form factor. Remember you need a certain amount of real-estate for the keyboard and screen.

I'm using an iPhone at the moment but will probably switch to a Bold soon and for sure to a Storm.
