Hey guys,

my router did report that my upload and download speeds are that of the DO3 package, but now my router is reporting 3072kbps downstream and 511kbps upstream.

does changing the adsl parameters in my router make a difference?

the description to this settings is:

"ADSL Parameter

This page allows you to specify the ADSL standards to operate with. You may explicitly set a specific standard, or choose "Automatic" to automatically negotiate with remote DSLAM. "

options are:

1) Automatic
2) T1.413 Issue 2
3) G.992.1 (G.DMT)
4) G.992.2 (G.Lite)
5) G.992.3 (ADSL2)
6) G.992.5 (ADSL2+)

I don't know why my line isn't syncing at full speed anymore and would love some advice!.... please???

select option 4. is the currently selected option 6?

try selecting option 4. some other guys are reporting the same issue and 4 seems to fix it

if that's the case then just change it back to what it was (3 or auto or whatever). telkom is probably running some tests and who knows, maybe tomorrow we'll all wake up to 8mbps connections :D

i'll see what my readings are when i get home later.

i phoned them and asked wtf was going on that my line was syncing slower and they didn't set it to full speed. now everything is syncing at my full do3 speed again...
