Well it's a tough one for them too. The guy is sitting there with a monitor that's working 100%( In his opinion at least) and he's being expected to take it back.

Yeah, you can definitely see their side of the story as well... :o

i voted yes,but this was a still image,if you could provide a small avi video then a further analysis could be made. Can you provide a 20 sec video of this happening

Backlight bleed is never supposed to be that bad. Sure, bleeding is a MANUFACTURING defect present in almost all LCDs and can be corrected easily if the manufacturers actually give a **** and improve their quality controls but it's not supposed to bleed that much. Take the unit back and get a replacement.

Update:

Sorry for the late reply. Take2 said they'd return the product to me free of charge and if it played up again I must send it back and they'd demand a replacement from the supplier. I agreed and got it back on Monday.

Started it up and checked it out and saw this

Man was I relieved but I wasn't convinced until it had a fews days work over.

Anyway within a few hours the back light bleeding started to reappear. Getting worse and worse

Looks more like a defect in the brand since the bleeding came from the same spot in the two pics i saw.

I voted yes, just to see the results.
I have no fscing idea.
sorry

Then you should have voted unsure. You're damaging the poll's credibility

Mods can you move alf's vote to unsure?

If you turn the backlight down a bit, does it help or not?

Looks like really bad bleeding there... :(

ok so same lcd... replacement... any less is unacceptable.

My dad bought a bauer fridge ( slightly off the track ) and one of the plastic handles had a minor hairline crack in it. Demanded a replacement and he got it ( well only the doors which were anyways R600 each according to the guy ).
