What happens if you accidently left the keys on the passenger seat while you were taking out your 4 cases of beer?
Nothing should, cause the keys aren't leaving :), though on my Cruze you could open the boot with the key fob and my niece left the key fob in the boot and closed it, the boot will automatically relock when it's closed again sigh.

Yes. Doesn't really matter when the quarter glass is bust, the sunroof lining is ripped out and the door lock is gone to hell, but the alarm confirms to EU's noise regulations.

Aaaah ok, so the car still sense the FOB is nearby and wont lock the doors. Good to know
..but remember you need the FOB nearby (like in your pocket) while pressing the main door handle switch so as to lock..so that is some impressive voodoo magic sensing going on  It is basically sensing which side of the door the FOB is in in that usage context.

1997 - Opel Astra yes
2005 - VW Polo yes
2014 - Chevrolet Spark no
2012 - Chevrolet Cruze yes
2018 - Renault Clio yes (but needs to be enabled)
2020 - Renault Triber yes

Most of those were the comfortline or above type models, whereas the Spark was just one step up from basic, still had windy windows.

Mine does the same if you leave the fob in the boot, but it wait like a minute or so before it locks, if you open it in that time it will open and then trip the alarm. Had a few but clencher moments in the past where I had my hands full and left the key fob in the boot.

No (2010+), and it's assembled in South Africa. What the actual fk Ford.
A lot of late model cars don't have this. My mothers POS 2013 Ford Ikon does not. The electric windows don't even do the one touch auto open or close thing. My 2006 Corsa had auto locking doors and auto open and closing windows that would also close if the alarm was activated. And even my current 1998 Kadett 200iS has these features.

It's better than the Figo because unlike the Figo it has a temp gauge so you can see when your pizzashit Duretec engine is overheating. Figo only has a warning light.
Fair point. I assumed anyone who bought a figo had simply never been in a car before so didn't know it was so shitty.

Yes, sometimes when you are standing next to the car it will lock itself, but if the key is in the house the car will not lock.
