Dota 2

Haha Underlord is really good and has an easy setup for the Monkey King Ulti and goes through BKB so it is really irritating to deal with

Is there some setting in the game to play if you dont have internet, I can load up a bot game but visuals are kind of "missing" like the skin and that kind of stuff, thats no big deal but the cursor disappear too and you cant see where to click... I hate Telkom

Cosmetics are not available if you are completely offline as far as I know. Not too sure about the cursor thing though.
 
Lost 8 LP games in a row due to russians on my team leaving and general unbalanced heroes...valve why do you force SD in LP?
 
Anyone watch the ESL finals yesterday? DC played out of their boots. Incredible final!
 
Awesome Final! That Core Leshrac in game 3 made me think it was over! then they turned it and crushed.
 
Watched it yesterday, was incredible final I agree... petty the result was spoiled :p
Was lesh not game 4? either way that was the turning point imo...

Watching WESG at the moment. As you know our BVD boys are in the grand finals playing in the group stage.

Unfortunately their game 1 vs Team DileCom didn't go so great going down 2 - 0. They do seem out of sorts with their timing being out and going in one by one after each other getting rekt. Maybe BMT? Feel sorry for them. I was hoping for a big upset vs Horde, but it seems they are up against it.

Waiting for the next game vs TOT who ran Horde 1 -1 earlier.

EDIT:
So far game 1 between BVD and TOT not looking good for BVD. Team Ukraine got banged 2 - 0 by Infamous. Seems like a tourney for upsets. :)

Our local teams are beyond crap. Maybe the scene is too small locally to attract enough players, who knows?
When you see Bravado play against ToT that are unknown tier3? players and even then they look like complete clowns there's no hope.

Our guys are normally at varsity or have jobs, so they doing pretty well to be placed the 69th best team in the world. https://www.joindota.com/en/edb/team/6533-bravado

Our dota scene is small and inexperienced, our 4k mmr players play like 2.5k European players. I learnt this the hard way this holiday playing on some eu servers. So unless our scene somehow explodes dota in SA is gonna be the weakest of all the region's.

Crap or not, we should be supporting them. Pretty sure they not professionals and probably take leave to play these things.
Our community is pretty small, and I think even #69 is a good number. (excuse the pun...)

I don't even see the potential for them to become world class. Most of these guys are relatively old and will only get worse when compared to teen players that adapt like crazy. The ranking you got off that site isn't accurate. It has 10 games or so from the last 3 years and 70% of them are against SA teams.

If anything I'd tell them to play less dota and focus more on their careers because it's extremely unlikely they will make a living from playing the game. SA Dota is dead Dota :/
 
The problem with SA dota is the ranked system is s**t because hardly anyone queue's. Secondly mostly prem and master players only play when stacked in their little 4-5man and can have easy games. So while its all fun having 70% win rate in SA, when they go to EU they get stomped, Hence they lose too tier 3 teams.
