Hi,

Just a quick question. Am I correct in understanding that Telkom's doUncapped packages are the only way you can get an adsl connection without paying for landline rental?

The reason I'm asking is that I will never use a landline phone in the near future so I see no reason to pay for a landline connection, though this is a requirement for all adsl connections that I am aware of. Super happy to pay for dsl line rental but both dsl line and landline just seems wrong.

So here's the link to the package I'm talking about

they say there under "included" that the line rental of R189/m is excluded, and I hope that they mean I don't have to pay for line rental to get access. A bit confusing tbh.

Thanks

You need the voice line

You are still paying for the line - it is just INCLUDED in the price - nothing is Free in this life

If it was not required they would not have mentioned it at all.

When you see packaging/advert for a product that says "Batteries excluded" do you understand that to mean the device will function without batteries or that you would have to buy batteries at an additional cost to yourself?
