Download Accelerator Plus

what makes FDM nice is the fact that its a complete free program, no register this, buy this for even faster downloads bullsh1t, its the complete package once off...
 
A quick and clean solution not yet mentioned is to forget about using a separate download manager, and switch to the Opera browser which has an excellent, no-frills and very robust download manager built-in. Has all the same main features as a standalone download manager such as the ability to Resume, Queue etc.

And of course as already said in this thread, there's NO magic software wand to increase the overall capacity (i.e. speed) of your connection -- all that a download manager does is make maximum use of that capacity by 'spreading the load' of your download more efficiently.

Firstly I just want say I get the point that DAP does not increase your overall download speed but keeps it constant and secondly I would like to apologize.
 
yeah i too downloaded DAP and i too didnt get more download speed and but iam able to see some change .

I've never seen the point of it. Firefox's built in Download manager is pretty good...

The downloads can only go as fast your line. If you have a 384k line then your maxing it out already.

Use Orbit though - DAP = Fail!

Free Download Manager or Orbit are nice apps to manage your downloads and to be able to resume them.

Defragging your PC wont make your downloads faster, unless you have a really slow and useless PC :p

DUDE! I scanned my pc with NOD32 Smart Security 2008 & AVG 8.0

VIRUS FREE!

i am getting 1 - 2 Mb/s from Snowball wireless 303 NO LIE!

i downloaded a patch to make it premium so i use EXTREME Acceleration
and it takes 1800 Seconds [Half an hour] to download a 900 Mb Movie

usage every month 3 Gb but somehow it goes over 3 gb [i dont buy extra usage] (they have an automatic usage thing) and i still download more and more
