Dragon Age Veil Guard

Yoh but the champion fights are intense but super fun. Just beat the one in Treviso after 7 attempts. Have to use every single move and every single power, every ability of both companions, the environment and everything else possible to beat these bastards. Can't stand still in one spot to breathe haha. And I have to make sure to have a healer in the party. Haven't been able to beat a champion without one.

Beat this one with the help of Davrin and Emmerich.

The combat in this game is amazing.

And RDR2’s Steam peak is 77 655… people really want this one to fail hey.

45 hours of glorious raytraced 4K/120 on PC and about to embark on the final quests. Goes right up there with my modern 3rd person favourites like the Witcher 3, AC Odyssey and Horizon Forbidden West.

They’ve completely returned to form. The engine is superb compared to Inquisition which struggled to maintain 1080p/60 for me back in the day. And the next Mass Effect is going to be epic on it.

Not really a good comparison, RDR2 launched on steam a month after release. Most people i know got it directly from Rockstar on launch day.

Also 5 year old game vs 2 week old game. Would be interesting to see Veil Guard's stats 5 years from now.

This fight was insane. Not only the best fight in the game so far but also the best boss fight Bioware has ever done imho. So damn good.

So how would you guys rank the companions?

For now my favourite is still Lucanis overall. I still haven't finished anyone's personal quests and still have lots of abilities/powers to unlock for everyone, so I can still change my mind later. He's cool so far.

Second is Davrin simply because he's my favourite and strongest fighter but I like his story as well. Plus he has Assan.

3. Bellara. Great character and love her story too.
4. Emmerich. He would have been first if he used Manfred in combat lol.
5. Harding. Meh.
6. Taash. She would have been higher if she didn't have any preachy stuff. I suspect she will drop to 7th later on haha.
7. Neve who's possibly the most boring Bioware character of all time.

1.Davrin but vote actually goes to assan. Best pet since dog in Dao. Too bad I can't just take assan.
2.Neve . The buildup is slow but she has grown on me.
3.bellara . Reminds me a lot of myrrel and I like myrrel.
4.lucanis liked his story but just missed out to the rest.
5. Emmerich..very interesting story
6. Taash. Excellent character. I found her story and conclusion well done.
7.harding was decent but not my favourite.

My preferred setup was usually Neve & davrin + my necrotic rogue.

2.Neve . The buildup is slow but she has grown on me.
Interesting. Because personally I can't think of a more boring character in any bioware game. Even more boring than Mass Effect's Kaidan or kotor's Carth.

I'm trying to romance her though and still have to do her missions so let's see how it goes. She hasn't really said much since I chose Treviso over her home city.

Agree about Assan, and it would be cool if Manfred was a companion as well.

Can't be worse than romancing Ashley in ME, and sitting through all her "racist" dialogue and daddy issues...

2 dragons at the same time o_Oo_Oo_O

Another hectic fight. Second half was way easier when reinforcements showed up. Made it almost too easy though.

The boss fights are all lots of fun.

Anyway, right after the fight when the team discussed their victory and next plan to defeat the gods, Taash finally felt the need to come out as they/them after Rook called her she :(

Red Dead Redemption 2 actually released on PC more than a year (5 November 2019) after the console release (26 October 2018).

I'm comparing the PC versions. November 5, 2019 (PC) - December 5, 2019 (Steam)
Yeah, you are right. My bad I misread, I think Epic Game Store and "The Rockstar Laucher" got it first.

On topic: Dragon Age isn't a terrible game, but it doesn't feel like a Dragon Age game. The character creator is the best part imo, the hair looks amazing.
