I've been watching a streamer play DA2 and now Origins, and to be honest we're probably confusing them with BG3 etc. They were pretty linear and action oriented. The only real gripe I have is that they've changed some of the demonic etc characters to be weirdly human, instead of sticking with their original designs.

But I guess we'll see when it comes out.
 
The internet doesn't react well to political correctness. It sunk Concord.

This is going to be a true test of whether gameplay can triumph. The gameplay looks good and the world screenshots look fantastic, but the game just screams SBI, complete with a game director identifies as a Queerosexual Gendermancer (yes, I'm not joking) and now those weird scars.

Final nail in the Bioware coffin? We shall see.

If it's just character creation then it's fine, people can create whatever the fsck turns them on.

If it's baked into the story and the game itself, that's where I draw the line. Even if it's not story related, I don't want any of this schit on the NPCs. I want politically incorrect dwarves and Qunari as they should be.

Will wait and see what the sentiment is before buying...

I was very much a press space, freeze game, tell everything what to do unfreeze, see what happened freeze etc.

This looks like use one of your 3 skills and kill stuff.

Need some normal people reviews because I can only see what people have put forward and it looks like button mashing.

Dragon Age origins is evergreen.

It is one of the best RPGs ever made.
 
I don't like the art style. My hope that this is going to be good is waning fast.

You've got it spot on.

From all accounts it sounds like the game is very good, being praised by reviewers and youtubers but now we'll really see if the whole DEI thing sinks games. I've got a feeling this one may sell well.

Personally I'll stay away because I still hate how they simplify gameplay. Maybe when it comes to Game Pass I'll give it a try.
 
BW have had non straight characters since jade empire, its not new..they have been in every da game. People acting like the new director is the first one to introduce them didn't pay attention to bw games.

Besides the combat game looks good.

For me it has to do with DA:v looks like a cartoon game and combat looks like a button masher. Which goes against everything DA stood for.

BG3 looks mature and involves strategy which added onto what the game was.

I will still play it but what reviews once released say will determine if I buy it or wait for it to get on special/gamespass.

But the 'complaints' I listed it what the man-children seem to be focusing on

Inquisition had a tranny that blended in. I don't remember any in Origins.
