Hi,

Im trying to embed a music player in my site that Im working on.

The last time I used DW was in like 1999 so Im a bit rusty...

Ive been looking at this site - http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/

Does anyone have any experience doing this?

Just paste the code under the "Embeding the player on a HTML page" heading on that link you posted. Change the red bits.

BUT, when I try run the site it still shows the original and doesnt play the flash stuff or show my stuff that I changed... :/

(wasnt sure wether to make a new thread or not)

You made the changes on your local machine and then FTPed them up to the live site?

In your template you have to set up editable regions, when you edit the template DW will update all the files that you based on that template, barring the regions.

LOL AcidRaZor, knew you'd say something about DW. It has its uses but yeah, end up with an unfathomable mess under the hood.

exactly. adds a ****load of code you dont need. id rather recommend getting a pirated (yes I said pirated, thats how much I hate DW) copy of Visual Studio.net 2008 if you'd like some nice XHTML compatible visual design thing going on to do changes to your website.

Im guessing Visual studio is like DW whereby you can see what you are building etc?

Yes it has similar design, source and split views like DW and I suggest kicking the table layout habit and use <div> tags with CSS styles.
Also some people hate fl*sh with a passion, especially when sites use it for navigation. I personally detest it because I use I.E 64bit and
refuse to compromise on that.

I just found out something, there is actaully 2 sites in the template. A flash version and a static version. I just need to import the flash version into flash and edit it from within there...whoohoo

makes a lot more sense
