Driving licence card printer broken again

You know that temp licences are issued for R72 over the counter during your visit, right?
yea valid for about 2 years shorter than it's going to take these mongoloids to fix the machine.

I shouldn't need to pay for a temporary license over and over until they fix this mess. They should just bloody well provide a card or, if they're unable to, stop them expiring pointlessly.

Technically, my license is still valid for 3 months after expiry provided I can prove I've already applied for a new one. That's probably still not going to be enough.

Is this the same license card machine used by ze germans in 19th Century? Can't imagine "Made in Germany" item this bad.

Chances are operators are royally screwing it somehow.

I wonder what idiot came up with the idea that having ONE card printer would be a great investment??

If giving up coffee suddenly made all the idiots on the road drive properly I would do it.Won't be easy but I'll do it.

"It is anticipated that the resumption of card production shall commence within the next two to three weeks."

However, Msibi assured citizens that the printing of driving licence cards would not be affected.

"The department has therefore encouraged members of the public to continue applying for their driving licence cards as normal."

How? If the only printer is out of order for two weeks, then the printing of cards will be affected.

What happened to the new machine/s Fikile promised? LOL.

Maybe they have built so much fat into the turn around times that a 2/3 week outage doesn't affect it then yes printing isn't affected. At least when looked at from the outside.

It was fine till they serviced it, so maybe the technicians should be sent to Germany for a retraining?

They should just use the guys who make the fake ID’s instead of the machine.
It’s cheaper, creates jobs and does the job way quicker.
