If the ids battery connector charge current is rubbish, any possibility of replacing transformer that sits between ac and ids, with a ic that can a) charge lithium battery safely (max current battery can take) while on ac and also provide ids with required dc to operate, and b) switch over to battery when ac dies, and do all this while keeping lithium battery safe (care not to over charge or discharge).
can all lithium batteries can deep discharge safely? Or are all lithium batteries not equal? from what I understand safe deep discharge allows smaller Ah to suffice, and the high number of cycles for lithium means it will last way longer than lead-acid?
I also want to replace alarm/gate with lithium but I'm a bit scared since lithium needs care to use safely. I do not want a fire hazard in my house.
It doesn't take ac, so maybe connection can be ac - transformer - ic - ids, and then the li-ion battery connected to the ic? Any thoughts?
