DSLR Sensor cleaning

You guys have got me an expensive hobby ... I think I'd be better off leaving this subsection and just playing on my Xbox ;)
It can get a bit pricy but you don't have to get pro level gear to get great shots. Some of the stuff in that pic would be overkill for a lot of people needs and it was acquired over time plus the glass should last a life time. The 400D in the photo has served me well over the past 4 years and it's still going strong after more than 100k shots.

I'm also not getting the 70-200 f/2.8 until I sell one of my other lenses (sigma 150-500) and possibly even one of my 400D's to help finance it.

I think I'd start at a 550D level and skip the smaller models for now. Should I like photography, I could see and move up a model.

The thing that irritates me with Canon models (now) is that they jump from a 550D at R8,000 to a 7D at R17,000. Yes - they do have the 50D, but that's a fairly old model and few places don't even stock it.

If they launched a replacement soon, I'd be happy

Bwana what do you use the netbook for? Shooting tethered or for filing on location?

It's a relatively new addition (it only became useful once I got osx running on it and was able to bin Windows and linux), so right now mostly offloading, remote shooting, and other general tethered stuff. Screen is a bit small for editing though.

When I know I'm going to need to file I bring along my 13" MBP which, while too big for that bag fits, nicely inside my smaller Kata knapsack.

What software do you shoot with it tethered? Wondering if I could use the same software for my Nikon..??.?
What cable do you use too??

Yes those look awesome... Wouldn't mind those too, hoping the price comes down though :(
Only thing is only one camera is CF+SD, my others are CF only. :o

Do you get CF to SD adapters? Like where the sd card fits inside the CF card?
According to EYE-Fi they're unsupported and I don't think I can risk a failure. http://tinyurl.com/yjrj5fe

I've just noticed the X2 Explore is considerably cheaper . . .
