Hi
I have now exhausted all possible channels with DSTV and Multichoice with this problem. Hopefully someone else has experienced this as well and can give some advice.
I signed up in April with DSTV on a compact plus package and opted for an annual payment of R5709 as advertised. I also made full payment of this amount on 1 April.
On 11 August I succumbed to the prompts and marketing and tried to upgrade to premium. I thought it would be a simple process and that I would simply have to pay in a calculated difference for the remainder of the year untill 31 March 2020. The moment I clicked to confirm my upgrade my signal was cut and my account was suddenly reset to zero.
Since 12 August I have been trying in vain to have this problem fixed by DSTV's channels. I have spent in excess of 3 hours on the phone with the call center, I have even visited a walk-in center and most recently have completed a contact form on their website to lodge a complaint. The issue has been escalated 6 or 7 times and nobody ever gets back to me with any kind of feedback.
Presently my account is reflecting that I owe R907.99 due on 29 August 2019.
I have used 4 months and 11 days at R519 PM, this adds up to a total of R2266.00.
Premium for 12-30 August is R512.67.
I was also advised by the call center to pay in a further R190 to keep my channels live.
All this considered I have then used roughly R2589 that has to come off the R5709 I have already payed.
I really don't know what to do anymore. Any advice or contact information of somebody at a position with Multichoice who can actually do something useful would be very much appreciated.
