DSTV Cost and worthiness?

I got rid of DSTV and now stream everything I need. Best move ever.
 
Cancelled DSTV, now have 20Mbps VDSL (capped with Afrihost, so not too expensive), and watch Netflix, HuluPlus and Amazon Instant Video.
 
I think Normal DSTV R628 or whatever is great I mean over 10 years ago was just over R400... So going up R200 in just over 10 years, you really cannot complain..... Far more superior than StarSat and so much better than SABC
StarSat are really up to cr@p nowadays
 
If you're not into sport DSTV is overpriced for the channels (repeats) they offer. Kicked it into touch 2 years ago and don't miss it, plenty of superior content available on the net.

Thats over kill don you think ? I have 4MB business uncapped, i get both Netflix and Hulu+ in HD.
 
I think I'd also prefer 10Meg uncapped than 20Meg capped.
 
Holy **** R728.30/month?!

That said, I am only considering it for the RWC 2015, which will be 2 months max, then its gone again. If...

Well, it is about R650 per month, and it really works well. Think it's worth it.

Especially upgrading my Garmin maps in just a few minutes :D

I have switched to the R29 option and last Sunday for part of the day the premium package was available. Did not make us want to switch back.
ITO sport how many times a month can you change packages? What are the rules from DSTV?

Once a month before you start paying a downgrade fee.

Why would you want to go there and get tortured even more? ;)

The SO and myself watch a lot of History, Discovery (all), Crime & Investigation, Sport and the news. It is expensive, but I still enjoy it. I also DL a lot of series that do not make it to DStv. Is it worth it? There is nothing to compare it with.

Almost everything you mentioned there is on Netflix.
