DStv Drifta Android and BlackBerry apps still in development

Get an iPhone or iPad. Problem solved ... ;)

Just a word of warning, the apple app can detect if you try to export the view to a TV/Larger monitor. It simply shut down and telll you it is not allowed. So don't get your hopes up with the HDMI-adapter thing, it won't work. This is also why i'd gather the app doesn't work on a jailbroken ipad etc.

I would assume this is one of the reasons why there isn't an app on the other devices, because they probably haven't figured out how to prevent the app from being streamed to larger screens.

The PC app also does not allow you to maximise , you can only run it at the native tiny resolution, so even if you manage to plug your pc into a large screen, you will only see the tiny little screen.

Yeah, no maximisation on Windows app, only Original (native=320x240) or Large (200% zoom=640x480).

As far as Android/BB app delay goes, latest feedback posted by MC is http://forum.dstv.com/showthread.php?p=96751#post96751

On PC use the Ease of Access magnifier.

I can understand the issues with Android. Android's strength is the weakness here. Too easy to find ways around any imposed limitations. I therefore suspect it may never come to Android.

Apple's OS was/is build around rights management. Android not.

I think you will find that its just as easy to work around iOS's rights management, the only problem is its easier to see if an iPhone is jailbreaked vs to see if an Android phone is rooted.

In fact I find it sooo much easier to to pirate applications on iPhone vs Android, that is if they dont do a Jailbreak test.

Edit: forgot to mention, Netflix in USA I am sure are more worried about having media leaked from their app and they got it right so one has to wonder if the problem is not with the developers more than the equipment.
