Any solution to this?
If you switch on your decoder and it simply loads till infinity but refuses to enter the menu, It might be because of minor imperfections that you can easily rectify by following these steps:

Step 1

1 Unplug the power cord from the decoder for at least 10 minutes.
2 Disconnect every external input devices such as USB drives and the smart card.
3 Reconnect only the power cable and see if your decoder might boot.

Step 2

1 Unplug the power cord completely.
2 Next without plugging back the cable, press and hold the P+(P plus) button on your decoder. Now, with your other hand, plug in your the decoder’s power cable while you continue pressing and holding the P+ button.
3 Monitor the progress on your TV screen and immediately you see the message “CODE”( You will see this on the top right corner), let go of the P+ button.

4 Almost immediately after releasing the P+ button, press the following buttons in thisorder: P-,P+,P+,P-(- ++-).
5 Restart your device now.

If the above 2 methods fails, then you may have to go to their office.

Thanks sir. I will give it a try.

This one doesnt stay. Immediately it gets to that point and it tries to move on it restarts automatically.

Folks in complex dstv not working. Switched off and disconnect the card and other cables. Waited 10 minutes. Reconnect without the card. Reconnect with card. Wait wait. Then only a blue screen after it loaded for 5-10 minutes.

We've had this issue back when, ended up just re-loading the firmware. Worked normal after that.

It was working this morning. But it kept restarting. I'm trying to help them get it working.
Well that is a really disappointing conclusion.
Pack it up take it to a service center

How do I do that ?

Steps to Boot in Safe Mode:

  1. Turn off the decoder.
  2. Press and hold the ‘P+’ button on the decoder (not the remote).
  3. While holding the button, switch the decoder on.
  4. Release the button when the DStv logo appears.
This allows your decoder to boot with basic settings, bypassing problematic files.

5. Check Your Satellite Signal Strength

A weak or missing satellite signal can cause the decoder to freeze on load.

How to Check Signal Strength:

  1. Press the ‘Menu’ button on your remote.
  2. Go to Settings > Satellite Settings > Signal Strength.
  3. Check if the signal bars are too low or missing.
If your signal is weak, your dish may need realignment or LNB replacement. Sat Digital DStv Installers can restore your signal quickly.

6. Update or Reinstall the Decoder Software

If the issue is due to a corrupt software update, reinstalling the decoder software can help.

How to Update Your DStv Decoder Software:

  1. Turn off the decoder.
  2. Hold down the ‘Standby’ and ‘P+’ buttons together.
  3. While holding them, turn the decoder back on.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the software.
This method forces the decoder to reload its firmware, which often resolves software-related issues.
