I'm just commenting on the cost comparison. With a regular DStv sub, you get access to all their channels as well as unlimited satellite data. There are no additional costs for data consumption.
With their streaming service, you need to provide a ton of your own data if you watch a lot of TV. You are not costing DStv a cent in satellite bandwidth. Yet the service almosts costs the same, and the slightly more expensive satellite service includes the streaming service.
What DStv is telling people is that you'd be an idiot to ever take the standalone streaming service. At the very least, go halvies with a friend or family member where one person gets the satellite side of things and the other person gets the streaming.
