Well, that really doesn't make me happy - I liked History channel. Yes, most of it was total BS, but it still had more watchable stuff that most other channels. I guess the upside is that it's getting easier and easier for me to just drop DSTV in it's entirety. Sport's still a problem though.

Thank goodness I cut the cord over a year ago. DSTV can go suck eggs, I will never be a subscriber again. The subscriptions are definitely not value for money. They keep increasing local fees but can afford to reduce fees in other African countries. Tsek!
That's because we are Africa's bee's knees man, let them peasants enjoy the reduced fees, we'll subsidize them.

DSTV... The only service where you need the Premium membership to be able to watch advertisements...

Don't watch those except C+I occasionally. Will have to see if they provide a replacement as those are unique channels. Guess it depends on what you're watching at any one time.

DSTV? Lol. 2009 called and it wants it tech back. Best record these on your VHS for posterity.
Actually satellite is still extremely popular even in countries with proper broadband. Sure they have better lineups but still. There's nothing wrong with the tech and it's used in many countries in fact.

Not as popular as cable.

What the hell?! I watch History pretty regularly....

I was also pretty pissed when they cut TCM, the only channel showing classic movies, only to replace it with 4 crappy movie channels. Way too many movie channels, cut some of those. Also cut the Nigerian channels and the pointless community channels nobody watches. While you're at it, please also cut CNN, home shopping channel, fashion tv (how is that still there?????). Why cut channels that people actually watch?

"invest in local content" your hard earned money handed to local producers, we have so much local rubbish on TV already I'm sure most of us need American channels to catch up on the world happenings, for the price of premium get an android TV box and Fibre, all the shows you ever need
