DStv is cutting three channels

DStv is set to cut three popular channels from its network at the end of October – History, Crime + Investigation, and Lifetime.

The contract term for these channels, which are all produced by the American broadcasting company A&E Television Networks, ends on 1 November 2019.

There are some cool history docies on netflix, watched their tank one the other day.

I am surprised. The History channel evolved into something else than pure history , but contained cool shows.

Glad I have options...

History channel was rubbish but nuking one of the true-crime channels would be enough for me to cancel - if I had DSTV that is.

Thank goodness I cut the cord over a year ago. DSTV can go suck eggs, I will never be a subscriber again. The subscriptions are definitely not value for money. They keep increasing local fees but can afford to reduce fees in other African countries. Tsek!

History Channel went from a channel almost exclusively about Nazis to a channel almost exclusively about selling second hand items.
The History Channel SA gets and the one the US gets have very different lineups. For example Vikings was on the History Channel
