DStv limiting concurrent streams from March 2022

Ok two hours later and its 6 threads
Obvious DSTV has something that people want, especially the pirate viewers.

Pirate viewers can watch DSTV on their Pirate streams, - that is the other half of the article. People here are more concerned with the number of streams, allowed by a single subscription.

Ja well, all my mother in law wants is the BBC Brit channel (DSTV 120,), BBC Lifesyle, SABC, CNN and SkyNews.

If I can get that via a streaming service (plex.tv maybe - I need to go look) then I'm good.

Also need to find a good option for football of course.

DSTV have long stated that they allow 5 devices, and 2 concurrent streams.

1x decoder, 4x devices registered for streaming purposes.

Till now they have not been able to enforce the 2 concurrent streams.

So we will see how this all pans out.

To me and mine - a moot point.

For a business that constantly advertises using families, how do they justify having only one person streaming at a time? This is dumb as hell.

Seriously, I had DSTV for more than 20 years, why would you want to stream if you can just flip around on your remote. Kids had extraview.
Although you would have a few with valid reasons to stream dstv, most who complain is people that piggyback on someone else's subscription who like I said, don't use their own streaming option

Why do you care?

Why do you care?
I don't care, I have a family members password, that I only used a few times the last 2 years to watch F1. Now I will just get F1tv. Not making a scene on something that I use and not paying for, unlike others.

Maybe go back and read the first 20 or so comments on this thread and you will see why legitimate users have legitimate complaints about this ridiculous decision.

My IPTV service has 28 Supersport Channels (FHD & HD) and the whole DSTV bouquet too. I am paying less than R1000 for a years service.
Coupled with a VPN ( i use Surfshark ) its the best service i have ever had.

Watching Footie in BT Sports UHD @ 50FPS is amazing
Details please?
